I've done pretty much every aspect of development this week, from Renpy to UI and renders.

I have some carpenters working on my house entrance, which has led the rest of my family to use my office to go in and out of the house, since it has its own entrance. And, since I'm not too comfortable posing lewd animations while everyone and their friends walk past my back, it was slow progress on that end. 1,068 animated frames were the visual result of the week. Next week, they'll be replacing my office entrance door too, and finally getting that fiber I mentioned a few weeks back installed, so I expect it to be slower than usual as well.

Instead, I focused a bit on the Renpy part, particularly the visualization of which route you're on, and that's now complete and implemented. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, and I hope you're too when playing it. Also did some playtesting and fully bugfixed the episode's free-roam (there's only one this episode) and added some QOL improvements to the load/save screen, which should exclude any need to export/import saves as well.

Looking at the numbers, this is now the Episode with the most animations (and frames). But on the flip side, the story render count puts it at the second-smallest release (at least now, before the last non-animated scenes are done). But it was a conscious choice to add a lot of animations for this one and still stay within my goal of '8ish months' between releases.

Stay healthy and sound out there. And have a lovely weekend.

Yeah, I'd say it's completly understandable if animation progress is a bit slow with that kind of traffic in your office 😆

Hope the fiber install gives you what you are hoping for. And its nice knowing you are always looking to give us something every 8 months give or take. Hopefully the next eps will be Christmas gift or new years gift

Hi Drifty, thanks for the update. Yes, the craftsmen can cause a mess in the household, you just have to endure it. A fiber optic connection is of course the most future-proof thing you can get, but of course you know that. Here in my sleepy small town, all the sidewalks were recently dug up to lay fiber optic cables. My landlord had a connection laid up to the house. However, I have had a very reliable 1000 Mbit cable connection for years and will keep it for the time being. "Never change a running system" 😊. Take as much time as necessary, I'm looking forward to the result anyway! Have a nice weekend 🖐
