Twins (WIP) (Patreon)
Content
As usual, this is a work in progress. If you don't want to spoil anything before the comic is done, DO NOT READ THIS POST. However if you want to read this post after the comic is posted, you're more than welcome to look at my thought process and changes.

Update 1/27:
Part 4, colouring, and texting done!
I drew for over 7 hours straight. This is what I get for taking one night off to sleep. No more sleep for me... hahaha.
No really.. no sleep until I have at least these horror comics coming out a full week before being posted. That way you guys get to be one whole horror comic ahead of everyone else.
I chose the more obvious ending (that the twins are each half of one person). Hopefully people will pick up what the twin plan to do.
I spent so much time filling in the blank spaces. Never again will I do a screen of an email inbox. It is way too much work... (I hate that I know I'll do it again in the future).
I made slight changes, like making the hair less poofy for the twins, and changing the size of the eyes for Sarah. I'll have to revisit the twins at some point.
I loved... LOVED, drawing the twins splitting off. I need to do more body horror stuff. I just don't entirely like how it takes away a big portion of the mystery in these comics. I think it's a trade off between the shock of the reveal, versus the creeping realization of what's happening/happened.
I guess there's no harm swapping between the two occasionally. I'm sure some of the readers will enjoy a less densely packed comic in terms of events and clues.
Update 1/25:
Part 3... basically done.
I'm falling behind and it's giving me anxiety. I'm only finishing like 80-90% of the stuff I should be drawing on each of these panels. Hopefully I can find time tomorrow to finish off the everything.
This scene was surprisingly not as hard to draw than I initially thought. I had a lot of fun drawing the two characters. I'm actually getting attached to "Sarah", the victim of this story. It's a shame my friend will only have one appearance.
I drew a light fixture on the ceiling. I should draw more of those. If you look back at most of my horror comics, they don't have ceiling lights. Not for any plot purposes, just because I kept forgetting.
I'm going to try to clutter up this bedroom with more miscellaneous stuff so it looks more lived in. I think that's one of the major things about my comics that I want to improve, which is to have more clutter.
Update 1/24:
Panel 2... basically done.
It was hard to get the proportion and the design of the characters down. I will have to go back to Panel 1 and change the hairstyle, and some very minor details to the characters. I may still change the eyes on the characters, I feel like one is too big, or one is too small. Maybe I'll find a middle ground for both.
There's still a lot of empty space on the counter in kitchen which I'll have to fill out. I'm not entirely sure what to fill it with yet, but hopefully I'll figure something out.
Originally this layout was going to be different, I wanted to have some more portraits hanging in this scene, but it wouldn't have worked. I wanted to keep the symmetry of the composition since it plays an important part to the story.
Update 1/23:
Panel 1.... basically done.
Was it hard to pose two women in an intimate situation? Yes... yes it was. The woman on the right is actually one of my friends whom I asked if she would be interested in being a victim.
Do I have some blank spots that need to be filled in? Yes. yes I do. What will I fill it in with? For the other canvas, I'm not sure yet. I want it to somehow expand on the story but not be obvious. Something that seems normal at first, but after awhile you'll realize it was part of the story.
The cellphone will have texts that I've already written down. I still need to trim down the texts so it'll be legible on the screen as well as be concise to what I want to say.
The script of this went through a few variations, most of it was mainly deciding what to show in the end. I currently have two endings, one which is graphic, and the other gruesome. There are two 'secrets' to figure out the full story of this comic. With the more graphic ending, I would be revealing one of the secrets right off the bat, and the second secret will be harder to figure out. Potentially people won't even figure it out because they think there's only one 'secret' to this plot. The less graphic ending reveals both secrets.
I don't know which ending I'll pick yet, I'll have to think about it some more. Maybe I'll see how people react to 'School of Thought' and decide then.
