Update 4/21:

This is a story about a husband who's going through a divorce and does everything to keep it together. Originally this was titled 'lonely' and was going to take place in an orphanage with a bunch of kids... Then I changed it up to someone who wanted to go back to the good old days with their best friends.

This is what happens when I have an end concept I want to achieve with no story in mind. The end being... people getting stitched together. I go through multiple iterations of the what could happen to bring that result and this was where I ended up.

The orphanage one was going to be about how everyone deserves a life long friend. However that got scrapped mainly because it doesn't really work well with the orphanage setting. I'll revisit an orphanage setting in the future with something better in mind.

The best friend idea didn't work because the idea of having your best friends stitched to you isn't as horrifying as I would have thought. I even planned to have the spouses killed, but it didn't really come together as I'd like.

I've really been doing a lot of 'sewing/stitching' themed horror stuff lately...

I added more details to panel 2 to help tell the story better. Like adding more tools to foreshadow what's going to happen.

Update 4/25:

Panel 4 done!

I changed the shirt on the guy on panel 3 because I figured that a button up shirt is more practical when sewing yourself to another.
