A gentle wind whistles through the ruins. The world stretches out in front of you and stark white clouds curl at the edge of your vision. The breeze lifts loose petals from the impossibly flat floor, making them dance above the wild plant life that sprouts from cracked brick and pavestone. You make out shapes in the fog as you explore. Old pillars. jagged stones, curling vines and forgotten blades. What is this dream? Why does it feel so vivid? And when you wake up, wherever will you find yourself..?

Dreamscape is built! This has been so much work, not only making these assets and placing them in engine, but the huuuge amount of technical work to get these animations playing, twiggs working and walking, and a million more things I couldn’t explain here if I tried. Big shoutout to Valerie valbatross for getting this level scene working, and helping me navigate the world of unity!! We’ve been working on porting out stuff to Unity as the whole team feels a lot more comfortable working over there, so while progress on “”new”” stuff was slow for a little while, there’s a lot of really cool stuff the team has in the works that should be ready to share soon.

I cannot wait !! For example, secondary weapons (stuff like your blaster, missiles flamethrower), enemies, and getting the UI hooked up should be in this version soon! Eeee ! Hype!
