£100 !! (Patreon)

Hey wow !!! I just wanted to write a little something to say an enormous thank you for getting me to over £100 a month on Patreon !! This is honestly such an amazing milestone and I am blown away by your generosity and kindness, thank you SO so much !

If I could show myself a year ago my Patreon I would be so amazed, and gaaaah its mind boggling that there are so many of you lovely wonderful people who care enough about my art to support me like this <3 

I'll also use this to talk about the future, and plans and projects I have going on at the minute!

So first of all the main project of Curated Curios, as usual little bits are being chipped away as I make more stuff from this universe, I haven't had a chance to sit down and actually /write for the story/ in some time because of how time intensive that is, but the second my commissions + work manage to calm down for a little while I have some ideas that are bursting to be written down! The next bit of the story is going to be another short story like Peregrine and the Starpainter, and not part of the Curator's POV. I like doing these to first ofall explore different areas from the world, but to also spice up reading the main story and add a little tension. 

Shop stuff I'll talk about next! It's been a long time in the works but is is happening - eventually. My partner Kas (@dogfruit) has had a rough few months with some sad personal news, and on top of that their fnal year of uni is coming to a close so there's a lot to be done! We've decided to wait until they are 100% done with uni before we open up the shop so we can both dedicate all of our energy to it and getting cool stuff out to you! That being said, all patrons on the physical reward tiers you're basically getting test samples of what we'll be selling. Look forward to some badges this next bundle! My lovely mum bought us a badge machine so we're very excited to test it out! I'm also thinking of branching out into selling 3D printed models - I'll contact people about it closer to the time but if its something that interests you I could send you a 3D printed model as your patreon reward. This all depends ont he price of models + shipping that I still need to look into but something exciting nonetheless!

Another possible project is game stuff! I've been working at a little game dev for the past month or so and among learning stuff like 3D modelling etc. I'm also learning that you can just... make a game. Of course, its not as easy as that, but there's nothing stopping me! I have some ideas for a big game - I mentioned it briefly at the end of the Thumbnail video - but I think for someone just learning how to make stuff like that it might be a little ambitious. SO, instead of diving into a large project head on, I think sometime this year (if I can get the funds) I might try and take a month or two to get a little demo of a less ambitious game out there that you guys can download for free, mainly to teach myself the ropes of unity. It would be a little run based metroidvania, starring a character I haven't drawn for a while but I still am very fond of. I have lots of ideas for this, and my basic plan is to get some basic art assets ready to the point where I could make a little trailer, and then try and Kickstart about £2000 to get it going? That much money would be able to support me and mainly go towards food and rent, but I would also use a portion to find classes teaching game development etc. Definitely something to think about though, and I hope it something that interest you! I'll post more about it here first if I do get any further but yeah !
