Hey hey gang, a further update post, just gonna lay out everything goin on rn !

So I looked into getting acrylic charms done, and while def possible for the future they won’t arrive for quite some time. The badge stuff is in a similar situation, but should hopefully arrive before sending stuff off!

Also wanted to give you a general update on everything else going on in my life right now. These next two weeks (ending the 28th of May), both me and my partner are busy busy with so many things. They’re finishing up uni, and I’m on a two week crunch for this game dev team to get 6 character models fully made and workable (hahahHAHAAH) - on top of this we are also trying to move house, so you can imagine the STRESS in our little flat right now. I’m basically out of commission until these two weeks pass, managing to get everything done for my job in such a short time is really quite stressful, and I’m honestly not being paid enough to do it so working on commissions in the side has me feeling like I am compressed under an obelisk of granite at any given moment. When we’re out of the two weeks of hell it’s suddenly time for moving house stress (if we can even find a place to live :’) ), so honestly everything is a little bit ! Much right now !

The main reason I wanted to get badges and charms done for you for this batch is almost all the artwork I’ve finished since January has been commission work, which I can’t really print out and send to you because someone else paid for it, leaving me with a shortage to print and I don’t want people getting repeat prints or really old artwork. So! As a solution, I’m firstly going to print the second batch of magic items out - get all the item stat sheets done, all of that. And secondly, I’m gonna work on a whole line of prints exclusively for this batch.

The idea is each print is based off of an exhibit from the natural history museum that I managed to go to for my birthday, but with a more fantastical spin! The end product should look something like the hallowbat piece (which I’ve included in this post), looking more loose and sketchy for the vibe of a naturalists journal. First entry up is this, a sailfish species that lives between the Silvoran Strait off of the coast of the Stainglass forest. I’ll update you as I go with this project, but I think they should be a cool batch of prints! I have a small quota I need to reach for new stuff to get printed for the highest tiers, but it’s doable!

I’m trying my very very best to get on top of everything right now, and I very much apologise for the state of physical rewards. I promise they’re coming, but finding five minutes to breathe is very hard, let alone the time to finish this whole line of prints, format them, and get them sent to the printers. The very real timeline is that I won’t be able to get stuff shipped to you until we move into our new place, mainly because I can’t order anything to our current apartment right now in case they arrive after we’ve left, so roughly mid June is where I’ll be able to breathe, get stuff ordered, and send it your way. I cannot apologise more for this - I was really hoping that getting badges and charms done would be a smooth process and get rid of this stress but they ended up being a very unrealistic goal for right now.

As always I promise that if you have paid for something, I have your name down, I have the amount you’ve paid down, it’s all there! That being said, you can always message me on here or any of my social media if you have any more questions about stuff and want to clarify anything. It’s just a matter of finding the time to get you stuff that you deserve!

But - what’s that? Some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel? A small robot shaped light? To elaborate - this is the one small thread keeping me sane currently. PROJECT SPROUT is currently in production !! after a few calls with my wonderful programmer Dalyn, we’ve got a very loose timeline drawn up and everything is go for the game! I explained to her what I explained in this post, work crunch and moving stress, so the basic idea is using sprites from the document I put up here, she’s going to get a working prototype mainly to show off the combat system and the ichor system. Then when I’ve settled from the move and gotten your guys’ prints on the way, I should be able just work on sprout stuff for a month or so! Focussing on Twiggs’ animations, weapon effects, and a few enemies, we should have a playable prototype ready within the next few months !! I am so very excited about this, and it’s all possible because if your support! It really means everything that you care enough about what I make, and when there is anything to share from this project here is going to be the first place I post about!

OKAY - sorry for the word soup! This ended up as a bit of a vent but I just needed to clarify what was going on for all of you. Thank you as ever for your support - it’s amazing to me that I have this little community and I cannot wait to get some things made for you (both prints and games!)

You’re all the best, and I love you so very dearly

Lucy ! 💖
