SWORDTEMBER DAY 29 + 30: CROWN AND SKULL (Patreon)

"Sharpened blades upon the walls,
I looked upon the darkened steel.
Quiet footsteps, hallowed halls,
The polished blade cannot conceal  

A history of blood, and war,
Of twisted spines and jutting jaw
Of dirtied coins and shadows twitching,
Endless scratching, talons itching
Claw at flesh and digging deeper,
The endless hunger of the reaper   

Yet now the palace sits alone.  
Swords, not drawn, within their sheathing.
An empty court. An empty throne.
But something still beneath is breathing   

Crown of gold, skull of stone
Velvet organs, regal bones."

Swordtember is officially! done! WHEW i am tired! I wanted to say a huge thank you to you guys - wonderful patrons. Your support helps me do stuff like this, and I really hope you enjoyed the month! Tomorrow is October 1st so when payments go through I'll start sending prints your way - expect swords! 

But, for real, thank you so much. This stuff is my passion, and you guys really help me out more than you know.

I hope you like this last entry! When I saw the last two prompts were "CROWN" and "SKULL", my first thought was to do a big crest of some "regal bones". Some fun Curated Curios content - which if you guys would be interested in I'd love to write more of!
