SPECULAR SAILFIN (Patreon)

SPECULAR SAILFIN (MAKAIRA TINCTUS)

Off the coast of the Stainglass Forest, between the unnatural shapes of Silvora, lies the Silvoran Strait. A stretch of water filled with colour, light, and life.

Amongst the sealife, you might catch sight of the gleaming chasis of a Specular Sailfin. These grand fish are composed of a solid metallic frame and gleaming glass fins and scales. And, if you look a little closer, you might see the telltale signs of a beautiful symbiosis. Within the Sailfin's polished scales, small light spirits live their life, and to an outside perspective they look like reflections of the surrounding wildlife. Jellyfish and minnows dart over the Sailfin's scales, and draw in unsuspecting prey to the steel maw. For the Sailfin, it receives a simple way of attracting food, and the light spirits receive a beautiful home to call their own.

A lovely tale of friendship in a cold and chaotic sea.
