Distorted Reflection (Patreon)

Something is following me. I have never seen it distinctively in broad daylight, it is always somewhere within my peripheral vision. Is it even real or is it my imagination drawing signs I so wish to see? I can sometimes hear it whispering, mumbling, weeping. What should I do? I was raised to protect those in need, then why am I hesitating?

This one is somehow different from the others. I’ve seen ghosts, lots of them. Angry and vengeful or sad and mournful. They don’t hide. They want to show you how miserable they are. By beheading you, cursing you, or by making them take pity on them, the method is the only thing that differs.

This one doesn’t seek attention. It is cold, distant, alien. It doesn’t want to be found, its presence is so strong here, that it is reflected in every single piece of the environment. Could it be the source of the curse?
