Fear Itself (Patreon)

A real hero is never scared. That’s what they say. Never fearful, never avoiding danger, always meeting an enemy head-on. A real hero is a dead hero then. And what is the use of a dead hero? Can a corpse protect his land and his family? Hardly.

The fearless are merely without fear. The real fight begins when you are scared. When you are sick with fear and your only desire is to run and hide. This is when the true battle takes place.

A brave hero is not a fearless one. A brave hero is one who steps up and does what needs to be done in spite of fear. Call me cowardly all you want. I am not ashamed of it anymore. When needed, I am going to save the day, fears be damned.
