True Sight (Patreon)

A true child of nature, at a young age Pollyanna shunned civilization and went to live alone in the woods. Finding true contentment in nature and the wildlife around her.

Pollyanna refused the use of coin and relied on trade to survive. She learnt quickly that people were happy to trade what she needed for what surrounded her, herbs, flowers, fungi and moss to name but a few. She always thought people were lazy, if they just left their towns and villages and walked the woods they could have it all for free.

Many asked her if she was ever afraid living alone in the woods, what with all the strange creatures and worse. She always laughed and told them she was safer there than they were in their own homes. But one night she learnt the truth. That night her outlook on the world would literally change.

What creature found her that night she could not say, but one look paralyzed her with fear and she was surprised when she awoke the next morning. Her head was in agony and her sight was blurry, the world span as she staggered her way to the pool near her shack. She washed her face and the water felt good and her eyesight started clearing. As the world came back into focus she caught her reflection in the water. With a scream her hand reached to her forehead, it was real! The third eye was real!

It took time, but she learnt to control the third eye and it eventually became natural to her. What was far from natural was the sights the third eye showed her when her normal eyes were closed.

She saw the true world, a world of energy, auras and strings of life. She learnt to manipulate the energy changing the very fabric of the object. After some practice she realised she could add the strings of life to plants and vegetables giving them sentience. She would draw faces and twist roots into crude limbs, then sit back and wait for it to come to life.

One day she happened upon a dying wolf, she could see the strings stretching and dissolving into the air. "I wonder," she said to herself as reached out toward the dying creature.
