Eyes of Darkness (Patreon)

What you can't see is always scarier than what you can. Your mind plays tricks on you, filling in the shadows, making shapes, enhancing harmless noises, manifesting your most terrifying fears.

Darkness conceals all secrets. It holds a whole new level of terror, a place where anything could be lurking. You’ll try to convince yourself it was just your imagination, but the feeling won’t go away.

The catch is that if you can’t see it, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t see you. Especially if it has that many eyes. They glowed in the dark like small lanterns, and its screech could be heard echoing through the tunnels for miles around. Its long tentacles snaked out from its body and reached out to grab anything that came too close.

If you catch a glimpse of the monster - run. The terror will be chasing you through the dark network of endless tunnels, scratching and growling. Run for your life and hope it will get distracted by an easier target.
