Throwback Thursday: Comic that I never posted (Patreon)

Here's a comic from 2018 that I ended up not using because I realized it didn't work. But it seemed like a good idea at the time.

It's rare that I finish a comic and don't post it on social media or on my website. Usually I realize an idea falls flat during the sketching phase. For whatever reason, I thought this idea worked until I finished coloring it. I scrapped this comic, brainstormed about squares and square roots, and drew this one instead (second image).
