I have two cats, Max and Hannah. I talk about Max more often because I'm bonded to him much more. Hannah is a sweet cat, but she could take or leave me. She prefers to hang out with my wife or daughter.

Hannah used to walk on the keyboard while I was working and she'd lick the side of the computer monitor. She's 15 years old now and doesn't do that much anymore. But she still loves to lie on warm laundry (as most cats do) and can't stand to be picked up. She truly hates it.

Here are three cartoons that Hannah inspired. I thought I'd include a picture of her that was taken the other day. She's on my daughter's bed - it's one of her favorite sleeping spots. As you can see, my daughter really likes owls.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoy the backstory on your cats and cartoons. I lost my 17 year old Ollie a couple weeks ago. What a time to lose your best friend, right? Following my cat friends on the internet is a happy part of the day.

I'm sorry for your loss, Monna. It's always hard to lose a pet, but during these times it's even worse. My condolences.

She's a beautiful kitty. They do make doing the laundry important.

Love all of these! Our girl, Chilly, will be 16 this summer. She also hates to be picked up,like Bernice😂, but still needs us to help her up on furniture to her favorite spots. I've told you this before, but we had a Max too. He was a giant fur ball, but succumbed to illness last July. He was 13. 😢

Btw, Hannah is beautiful, and love the owls. 😊

We lost our Bogie after 15 years and I swore “Never again.” Long story short, we have two frenemies, Ollie, 8(?) a rescue and Sammy 18 months and 18.8 pounds. I love the “I hate it”cartoon as cats, it has been my experience, usually don’t care much about being picked up and hugged. Spot on!

Oh and kissing my cats demands an immediate deep cleaning on their part. Oh no, human scent in my fur! Level 5 alert!

I had a cat who hated to be picked up unless she was at he vet. My mom had a cat who hated it too unless you were walking while holding him so I would pick him up and do laps of the first floor of their house.

I have a Max too, a chubby orange tabby - sweetest kitty I've ever known.
