My cat Max has gotten chonky. We're playing with him more, making him run around, so he can lose the Covid weight.  I don't want a guilt trip from my vet the next time I take Max in for a check-up.

This is cute! And good idea on your Max. I know the vets make you feel guilty.. our Max was huge. He had a big frame, and we think maybe a Main Coon in him because of his size. But, he loved to eat… caused him health issues though unfortunately, and we lost him at 13. 😢 he weiged 27 pounds! 😳 Our other cat is very petite and is probably no more than 10 pounds. She’s 17 and a half.

Wow, 27 pounds! He was a big guy. Sorry he died relatively young.

Yes, thanks. He was a big boy. Dieting wasn’t his thing! 😊

I thought our Sammy at 20 was big. Your Max puts him in the shade. Sammy has one Maine Coon parent so big he was going to be. His tail is 13 inches long! His most endearing trait is he greets us morning and upon arrival home with a tail quiver. First of our cats to do do.

Aww! Sammy sounds beautiful! We adopted Max from the shelter as a 10 week old kitten. He was so loveable from day one. We always suspected maybe Main Coon in his genes because he grew so big. He loved to eat. We had to stop leaving food out for grazing because he didn't know when to stop. 😉 Always was a "people" cat. He loved cuddling with me, although he didn't realize how hard that could be sometimes. 😂

Sammy weighed 3.5 pounds with huge ears when we adopted him. He looks nothing like a Maine Coon. He’s all black, short fur and smooth and shiny in the extreme. So only his size came from his Maine Coon side. Sweet as can be, very small voice and purr which may be characteristic of his Maine Coon side as well.
