Aww, poor dog. 

This dog is based on a Golden Retriever I used to have, who was not very smart but she was sweet.

Exactly - she loved walks and runs but was afraid of water. Her favorite thing was chasing tennis balls but if it went into the water she would just stop and stare at it longingly. It was kind of funny. She's the only Golden I've come across that didn't like to play in the water.

Dogs have such a different connection with us than our cats. You grasp the core of how they seem to view themselves from our understanding. WELL DONE!!! I'm still giggling :-D

So cute! 😂 I agree, poor dog… but that is so true in our cat’s minds anyway…. 😉 I once had a dog growing up that was also not too bright, but so so sweet, one of my favorite pets. 💜
