I was looking for a reference photo to draw raccoons (tomorrow's cartoon has raccoons in it) and I came across this guy. Look at him! He's so cute. Sure, he'll tear you apart if given a chance, but he's adorable. 

I'll probably end up drawing the raccoons like I usually do, but who knows - maybe I'll change it up a bit. 

Raccoons kind of remind me of cats. They're cute little jerks. I've included a few raccoon cartoons for your enjoyment.

My closest encounter with a raccoon was in the middle of the day, on a Costa Rican beach. Several were trying to get into tourists' backpacks. I fended one off by whipping a towel, but he didn't seem daunted, just mildly annoyed.

Toronto is the raccoon capital of the world, and that's where I learned to call them Trash Pandas. They have a green bin program there to collect food scraps for composting, and have had to design the collection bins to make them raccoon proof, which isn't always successful!

Yeah, they don't seem to get too intimidated. Good job fending one off. One time, a group of friends and I were sitting around a campfire and a raccoon came pretty close to us, looking for food. One guy threw his empty beer bottle at him. He didn't expect to hit him, he was only trying to scare him away - but the bottle clocked him on the head. The raccoon ran away and we thought that was that. About 10 minutes later, a group of at least five raccoons walked up to the campfire and slowly closed in on us, like a bunch of thugs looking for a fight. It was funny and kind of scary. We had to bang on pots and pans to get them to run away.

I used to volunteer at a wildlife rescue. The raccoons were so smart that they had to build an enclosure within their enclosure because they could open the latch and let themselves out.

So cute! 🤩All suspiciously believable comics. I'm not complaining though LOL (and the dumpster one reminds me of Geico's raccoon run with the "Chez Dumpster" food truck and such...very cute though I don't recall the critters saying "Dude!" in those). Would love to work for KFUR.

Love these! Don’t know how I missed this post! So funny! Love the raccoons driving the garbage truck! 🤣 our cat Max (RIP) used to dip his paws in the water dish to drink water or clean them? He also had kind of hunch when he walked around- we called him our little raccoon. 🙃
