I hope you had a good weekend. Me? Eh, it was okay. One of those weekends that was heavy on the "have to do's" and light on the fun stuff.

I'm pretty sure Max had a better weekend than I did. He doesn't get outside very much, because he likes to "explore" a little too much. About a year ago, he went outside and didn't come back for several hours. We thought we lost him.

Yesterday I let him go outside as a special treat and I kept my eye on him. He loves going up in the olive tree out front. The photo on the right was taken about an hour after his tree adventure.

The second image is a comic from 2017. I imagine Max was thinking what that cat was thinking while he was in the tree.

Reminds me of Tux, a neighbor's cat I used to sit for. He acted like the whole side of the block was his, tho he was friendly to humans. (Tux might still be alive; I moved away years ago.)

Lucky Max - enjoying the best of both worlds! And I LOVE the 2017 comic. Are you thinking about re-running it on FB? I have some friends who need to see it :-)

Thanks, glad you like it. Maybe I'll post it as a Throwback Thursday

There's a Tuxedo cat in our neighborhood named Midnight and he's like that. He walks around like he owns everything. Unfortunately he's not friendly and has attacked Max and a couple other cats (and one small dog) on our block. Midnight is Max's nemesis.

My cats never go outside, but I am a worry wart and was always afraid they’d get lost…. But, I would like to think it tributes to our cat Chilly’s longevity. She’s going on 18 and recent vet visit says she’s very healthy for her age. 😊

Our cats are inside all ways always. I’m too afraid I’d lose them in an accident or otherwise. One is 15 the other 3 1/2. So far, so good! We had one that made past 19!

Maybe a "catio" is what he needs to experience the outdoors, within boundaries.

Scott Metzger

Yeah, it's best to keep them indoors. That's great that you had a cat that lived past 19! I've never had a cat that's lived that long, but Hannah is getting close. She's 17.

We have a room that's kind of like that. It's the room you pass through to get to the back yard. He sits on a bench and can look at birds :)

Here is a believe it or not story. My friend who resides in Vacaville CA found a cat. She named him Perdu (lost in French) Perdu topped out at 35 pounds and lived 22 years. We always thought he might be part Mountain Lion.

Yes our 3 1/2 old Sammy is part Maine Coon and is currently 22.2 #.

Hi Wendy - I posted it on Facebook this morning, in case you want to share

You're the greatest! Thanks 😻
