Flashback Friday and Birthday (Patreon)

Here's a cartoon from 2015. 

Yesterday was my birthday and my family and I went out to lunch and spent the late afternoon and evening on the beach. We were planning on sliding down this one steep sand dune, but there were river otters on it (they beat us to it!), so we had to go to a smaller sand dune. Happy to move for the otters. It was fun to watch them rolling around in the sand. See last photo (it's not a great shot, but you get the idea). 

We left the beach around 7:00pm and on the two-mile walk back to the parking lot we came across two coyotes - they were about 40 yards in front of us on the path. We didn't take a photo because my wife and I were too busy waving our cardboard pieces to look intimidating. It worked - they scurried off the trial immediately.

About 10 minutes later, near the parking lot, we heard the pack of coyotes howling in the distance. Kind of eerie, but very cool.
