I love this! At least this time they are both showing they love their human, each in their own way. And, as a person with dogs and cats, I can attest to the correctness of this.

Scott Metzger

Exactly - they both show love, just differently

My cat, Smudge, knew exactly when I would get home from work... so he'd be waiting in the window, and if the train was late... he'd pace and yowl.

Love it! I’m sure this is exactly how your Max and Dobby greet you! Love in their own way! :)

Our Sammy cat rushes to the door upon our arrival but then sits and looks up at us. Ollie cat cannot be bothered it up to us to greet him. It’s not that he doesn’t care it’s more a matter of seniority

Scott Metzger

That's very similar to our two cats - Max is the greeter and Hannah gives what amounts to a "what's up" head nod from the couch.

I am getting to this late - yes, I am another person living with both - 2 of each - and the greetings differ in that way.
