Happy Caturday (and three-day weekend to those in the US)!

If you have a cat, do you allow them on the counter? Max and Hannah are allowed on one part of the counter because we had to put their food bowls there. Otherwise Dobby would eat their food.

Mine aren’t allowed but one of the four jumps up there occasionally. I recently found her on the edge of the sink and I don’t know why she was there. She also opened the cabinet and took the treat pouch out and chewed it so now the treats are in the bread box.

Allow? In what universe do cats know the word allow? In our household it’s do as you please, when you please. I assumed that was universal cat speak.

When i had cats, any elevated places were appreciated as dog-free zones.

Ha, yeah I suppose a more accurate way to put it is we prefer them not to go on the counter 🙂

Scott, it’s amazing to me how you so accurately capture catitude and how you can come up with these hilarious and brilliant cartoons every day! Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity and for bringing folks bright spots in our days.

Haha! I agree with the comments about how our cats just do as they please.. ours is too elderly to jump on counters now (18 1/2) , but honestly I don’t remember her ever doing that. She did jump on our table in our dining room, but it was allowed because it was next to window where she could view birds outside… 😉

My cats have their dishes on what would be considered the kitchen table in most houses. I eat at my computer desk in the living room and the dogs have their dishes on the floor in the kitchen. Since I live alone, this works out well. When my friend comes over, there is a beautiful wooden TV tray for her. 😁

Two of my four cats eat on the kitchen table! The third one makes me follow her to where she wants to eat which is usually on top of the cat tree and number 4 has to eat in a separate room with the door closed or he tries to take over another cat's bowl.

Thank you, Diana. Glad you like the cartoons 🙂
