Whenever I take my dog for a walk on the trails near our house, I always see at least a few dog poop bags on the side of the trail during our walk. It's problem on nearly every dog-friendly trail we take.

Apparently people leave them with the intent up picking them up on their way back. I get not wanting to carry it if you're on a long walk. But I'm pretty convinced those who actually do pick it up later are a rare breed. Or do they exist at all?

Is this a problem where you live?

A sadly familiar problem here, too. Just went for a hike out at Coyote Hills Park today and saw a bag-o-pooh beside the trail about a mile in. 🙄🫤 I always carried the bags with me, even if it was miles - wish others would, too.

I see it here but it doesn't seem to be accumulating so either they're coming back or the poop fairy really does exist.

Lol! And I don’t have a dog, but, yuck! I guess they at least bagged it, right? 🫣🤢

People where we live just don’t know poop bags exist. We clean up our lawn on a weekly basis and do not own a dog. Talk about YUK!

I just know that when I was a kid, unbagged dog doo was everywhere; since then, I've hardly seen any.

I know there are some people who pick the bags up on their way back. But I've seen the same bags in the same spots the next day. Oftentimes the bags aren't far from the trailhead, maybe a 1/4 mile from a garbage can, so I'll throw them out.

That's good they're taking them! They tend to accumulate where I live

You mean the poop fairy isn’t real?! Glad I have cats…
