You know at least one of those cats is gonna barf on the learning rug. My money is on Jayden, who's licking his paw and not paying attention. Come on, Jayden!

As some of you know, my wife is an elementary school teacher and this time of year is always super busy for our family. My wife is teaching at a new school this year and my daughter and I are going to help her set up her classroom today (son is staying home to take care of the pets). We hope to get a lot done today so we can go to the beach tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

See second image for the sketch of this comic. Happy Caturday and enjoy your weekend!

Good luck getting the classroom set up! Hope your kids and your wife have a fantastic school year! I am an aide in kindergarten and we started on the 17th. And I would guess Jayden will definitely barf on the learning rug. ;) if it was Chilly, she'd poop on it too! Lol! 😂 ( but she's too old for school ;))

Haha! And thank you. Hope you have a good school year too!

I taught 1, 3, 4,5, 6th grades plus j Jr and sr in high school. Back to school was always the beginning of a new adventure

I hope you had a good time setting up the classroom and have even more fun at the beach!

We got a lot done but there’s still more to do. Apparently the teacher who had the classroom last year was a major hoarder. The room is filled with stuff. No beach tomorrow. Another day!

I did. I loved 3 rd graders the most

Scott Metzger

I’ve heard a few elementary school teachers say 3rd grade is the “sweet spot” - the kids are old enough to do a lot of things but they’re still sweet and don’t have an attitude yet 🙂

Aww too bad. I bought a house that had a garage loaded with stuff so I feel ya.

AND here is why I quit teaching. A 4th grade girl told her mom I hit her in the face. I certainly never did, nor would I. The principal called me in, the mom was was there and I had two choices: either I hit her daughter or I was calling her daughter a liar. Time to leave and that I did.

I'm really sorry that happened. I've heard stories about students who flat-out lie to their parents about their teacher so they can get out of trouble. It can ruin teachers' reputations, if not their careers.
