Zambies

His look really gives watch in gonna catch you when we get home

Druda Gaming

The next page is gonna be rough, isn't it?

Washington BC

Oh Mike’s gonna pay for this isn’t he

Garrison Boom

He can smell the bs lol that or mikes stench

Berry

Oh Lucy dudeee ahhh

OneTrickDanny

Yeah, it feels awful to be ignored, isn't it?

Becca

That was effective, but yikes. Auggie saw right through the tactics.

esinololly

Lol oh god is Auggy about to verbally put Mike into the ground?? Also I think it's cute that Lucy actually paid enough to Daisy to know she's got a speech coming up!! Daaawww :)

Crossbreeze

Thank you Lucy for covering for Mike (even though he did nothing wrong here). Now we can move on to a nice calm comic pan- Augustus... what that look on your face? Augustus... please don't! Augustus!.... Noooooooooooo! Please spare Mike! He's has quite literally done nothing wrong.

Washington BC

Bro Mike didn’t even do anything this time and he’s still going to get torn a new one

Nev Ravenoak

Augustus glowering beneath the speech bubble is cracking me up

Metal Raven

Augustus’ senses are tingling. Time to take it out on Mike!

Yummy

I can probably predict that Augustus will go to Mike for answers, or will find Lucy by herself and ask again what happened

M0use

"Lucy, don't lie to me... you've got Boy Smell on you"

SomeColourMage

Daisy's obliviousness (kinda) saves the day (for maybe a few pages) she clearly has issues trusting you, dude. you've directly ignored her while she's pleading you to stop doing something allegedly in her name, and even if you don't know the extent, how do you think people feel when they know you're constantly carrying around a reminder of someone they clearly have bad history with?

Lil_Brimstone

This glare has never ended well before...

Crossbreeze

And he quite literally didn't do anything... At point, Mike isn't paying, he's being robbed by Augustus

Relathain

Even if he confronts Mike and he admits nothing happened, Augustus will still find a reason to push Mike further and further down than where he already is.

Grey Dev

Jordan and Augustus are about to jump Mike and I'm scared

Washington BC

For some reason I just keep thinking of the Spongebob camping episode where Squidward keeps getting mauled by the sea bear. “WHAT DID I DO THIS TIME?!” “I don’t know! I guess he just doesn’t like you!”

Crossbreeze

Why do I get the feeling what goes down next, is similar to the SpongeBob episode, when townspeople kicked the old man's butt, when the old man did absolutely nothing wrong?

Blaster824

She's delaying the inevitable, but will probably dismiss him later at home. Or retaliate by bringing up his phone ringing off the hook in the other room. Either way she's absolutely spiraling.

Crossbreeze

You must be my sibling. I just posted a comment talking about how next panel will be the SpongeBob episodes where the Townspeople kicked the old man's butt when the old did nothing wrong

Slipdance

So I was partially right, but the way I was wrong makes it worse. Countdown to NO WITNESSES, but somehow it’s Mike’s fault in 3…2…1…

Crossbreeze

Verbally alone!? I think this time Augustus is gonna take advantage of Mike's condition and actually throw paws with him.

whiteboypizza

I don’t think it’s been mentioned much but Lucy is super perceptive and very aware. She just has certain… Mike-shaped blindspots

Sablix

ah, the perfect person!!

tooie

Deploy the tactical Daisy smokescreen

WitchDoll

Trust is really not the issue. I think you are using the wrong word(?) Also, did I miss where she asked him for that? (Asking for real). Honestly It's not so complicated. Lucy doesn't want to confide in her friends because they are the ones she doesn't trust. She doesn't want to "bother" Auggy, and then she gets an anxity attack, goes outside, and has a mental breakdown on Mike. She goes back in, knowing she shouldn't have done that, and bam, Auggy confronts her. She gets nervous and flustered because she knows she's supposed to keep away from Mike and so doesn't want to say/admit that she "messed up" and went to Mike. I get her. As for Auggy, I think he's having mix emotions between feeling he failed to watch over her and feeling a pinch of "we are trying so hard to keep you emotionally safe but then you just go to him? What is this all for, then?" But, uh yeah, those are just my thoughts.

Crossbreeze

I have a feeling James may wanna put in a few hits too

Kiall Vun Myeret

Concequences can't catch me if i keep walking away

SomeColourMage

she outright told Augustus to stop the second she entered the fight in Line. before that she'd made it clear that she really didn't want him doing anything about it. as much as it may have been causing her issue, she did not believe her existence should fetter Mike or vice versa, they both still have a right to exist in areas that they may sometimes overlap. that and the phone were two separate points that both have straining effects on what they feel for each other and how much Lucy's willing to be open to him and yes, trust does factor into it, even if it's not the only factor

Mandy Seley

It's not the crime, it's the coverup...

Snowstar837

Her face in the third panel is adorable

Snowstar837

"I love the young people"

esinololly

Tbh Auggy just never struck me as the type to throw hands! Psychologically throwing hands though....

WitchDoll

I'm sorry, I don't understand the first part. Out of all the others, Lucy trusts Auggy the most, second place after Mike (if they were still friends, or a couple). After everything she and Augustus went through together, that trust can't be erased so easily. If anything then Auggy is the one to start having some trust issues to let her be alone during lunch. ;>_> Lucy is also annoyingly stubborn and wants to deal with her problems all by herself, so I think that stops her from properly asking Auggy to shut that phone up. :/ Maybe in the next chapter, Lucy will finally put her foot down regarding that buzzing. Either way, I think you're wrong, and you think I'm wrong, so we leave it at that, i guess.

Sometimes a Badger

Augustus is starting to look like Mike after one of his arguments with Lucy.

⚰️ Irani ⚰️

I'm worried Augustus will do something that may cost him his scholarship or may bring attention to his home life

⚰️ Irani ⚰️

Like what if he gets in trouble and they call his parents and for once they answer?

Cynnat

Daisy also being someone that Augustus isn’t comfortable being an ass around 👀

Crossbreeze

True, but I think he might just be angry enough to try this time, especially since Mike is in no condition to fight back too

SeebeeNangins

Oh my, what's this? Is Augustus about to understand why Michael use to get so mad at her?

SCD

He mad.

Elizabeth Hunter

I feel like Augustus is going to be angry with Lucy, not Mike, becuase he might see this as her "wasting" the help he's giving her. Auggie keeps doing what he thinks is best, which is keeping the two of them apart, and now it looks (to him) like Lucy is deliberately speedrunning her next crashout despite his best efforts. He's just starting to understand what it's like to be "normal", and now he's looking down the barrel of more responsibility for the girl that (imo, rightfully) blames him for part of her CPTSD. Man, V & O, you know how to weave a story's threads so tightly that the characters always feel like they only have one option (which is of course the option that causes the most DRAMA)

Sap

And this is how misunderstandings happen. Already seeing how far Augustus would go to “protect” Lucy for any means, I wouldn’t be surprised if he somehow managed to blame it on Mike, and before anyone tells me that I might be assuming, Augustus made it pretty clear that he will destroy Mike at any moment like “line on the sand” when he literally unprovoked, went to smash the little good Mike had left in him by making him seem like a abusive manipulator that wants to leech to others when he literally wants to make new friends outside of the group that adamantly defends Lucy while reminding him of the terrible monster he is. 🤦‍♂️ these cats

Rocky Wolfknight

I really REALLY want this to backfire and August getting humbled hard. He needs to know he needs to STAY IN HIS OWN LANE. plus, I'm wondering if Paulo heard what he did, I wonder if he will reveal his "dirty" laundry of what he tried to do to Lucy and Daisy in the past to get him to back off

Sap

I’m not even trying to pray on Augustus downfall, I get he came up pretty rough and as a teenager he will make mistakes. But like the way he’s come about the situation has been nothing but chaos since he was introduced. And honestly Paulo is like the only person that can save Mike at this moment. Out of all the people I only can see Paulo+daisy and mikes sister to possibly help him come back up. Everyone else is just a recipe for disaster

Sap

What I’ll like to see happen from here on out is for Paulo to put David in his place or cut him off completely. Augustus to get over Alejandro before things get messy and to not air people’s personal problems and business to strangers. James to give Mike a chance to actually speak for himself without having people making him out to be a villain. Lucy to say what’s actually bothering her and to not back pedal after she destroyed every bit Mike had left of hope because she is afraid to say something to Augustus and “lose” him. And for Mike for the love of god to end things with sandy, it is not healthy at all 😭

Rocky Wolfknight

Exactly, thank you! And I really NOT want August to get involved anymore at this point. And David literally threw me in the loop for how much he egged this whole thing on and doesn't have a shred of remorse or even common sense what he just caused, or if he's even aware AT ALL. Not to mention, James is such a hypocrite for what he did. He act like he wants nothing to do with him, but the moment he doesn't show up for track and it's affecting the team, now he suddenly shows concern? It feels like he only concern if it affects him in anyway or what he does

Kirk Findlay

oh my god if he goes and harasses Mike again....
