But I wanted to add! It don't have to be canon to be real. Aug x Lucy is real to me! I respect this! I love their development 100%. I am still gonna draw them as a ship together. Friends or lovers. Won't matter. It's how i enjoy the chemistry of them together. How Aug legit saw her on her lowest and She saw him on his. How he still stayed and how she still stayed. They legit got a good relationship. They blossom to a pair I want to draw more of. Thank for putting validation on this. This made me appreciated them more as friends and secretly lovers. I like them now and it will still be a otp to me. I never invested in them fully but I need someone to make a fanfic of them together or more comics if not. This is a really nice way to handle this topic. Relationships don't need to be romantic to provide love and support. Its seems so simple to understand within family, but getting that same kind of support from others is so rare nowadays, even within tightly knit friend groups. But it's important to realize that option is available outside of committed couples, and Augustus is probably the perfect character to show that. Honestly, it feels like Paulo is getting to that point too.

These two are my OTP as well so I love this completely and think this is the best thing for them right now but still hold out a little hope for their relationship to evolve in the future. He doesn't love her 'like that' is a little vague, if I can allow myself to reach. I can't say if he means not romantically or not in a way that would allow him to take advantage of her in this state.
