Btw the new Tsukihime is not the same story as the OG at all. The stories are like 30% - 50% similar, but there are brand new characters and some characters in the OG don't show up at all. Overall plot beats are about the same though. At least for the routes released so far. Can I recommend Cartagra as a potential VN? It's a detective/serial killer series and you have to do a lot of actual "detective work".

Shiki's sensei has her own game called "WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT" which is on steam, its probably Type Moon's most well made visual novel all things considered, in Tsukihime she's kind of like the passing previous protagonist turned mentor for the new protagonist, like Kiritsugu was to Shirou. As for Tsukihime Remake, it has a LOT of new stuff so it is a fresh experience to a good extent. It only has the first two routes but its longer than the entire original game.

I recommend "Witch on the Holy Night" if you want to learn more about Shiki's sensei. It's pretty short compared to Fate and Tsukhime. The Tsukihime remake is also really good with amazing visuals and voice-acting. Ciel's route in particular is much better (and different) than her route in the OG game. I'd like to see you play it some day.

Thank you for this playthrough, it was fun following it. OG Tsukihime was my first visual novel so its a bit special to me. As for the remake - I highly recommend checking it out, and you should definitely record it as well. As other people have pointed out, its not a 'remaster' - they added new major characters, rewrote a lot of stuff, and made the first two routes as long as the entire OG itself. Overall, it feels like Nasu re-telling the story in a more 'modern' style. Witch on the Holy Night is also very good. Its more cinematic compared to other type-moon works.
