(sorry for cutting off the end credits. I did watch it! Kyubey talking about how it can grant any wish, and perform impossible miracles after offering a "contract" to make Madoka a magical girl?? Hmm....feels like there might be a catch!)

"It was all a dream?", "Running with bread in her mouth", and "Mysterious transfer student".. And probably many more, but this episode definitely checks the mark of quite a few standard tropes. PMMM is one of my favorite anime, and is one I have watched many times. There are many details to notice, if you keep an eye out, many of which are something I only noticed on subsequent watches. I will say though, especially when it comes to interior design (or exterior for that matter), DO take that with a grain of salt. It is more of a Studio Shaft trademark, and if you've watched anything else by this studio it would be immediately recognizable.

The story has the same writer as Saya no Uta, by the way.
