I Cognito

It's no coincidence that you're watching another time travel thriller. The reason I suggested this anime is because you liked Higurashi and Steins;Gate, so there was no way you wouldn't like Madoka. Also, you can't go wrong with something that was written by Gen Urobuchi.

Demeter

Take your time and Happy Christmas

Just to put it out there, one of the big reasons people have suggested for you to check out the lyrics for the OPs/EDs is right here. The OP lyrics gets recontextualized after this episode which is why they put it right at the very end. I strongly recommend you to check out the lyrics again now that you have the context of this episode. Consider who is the sender and who is the recipient. And heck yea it is a great episode. Lots of minds were blown back when it aired.

Skeletan

One thing that's unfortunate about this reaction series is that it feels like she's trying her best to wrap up the show as fast as possible, always trying to connect everything together ASAP instead of letting the show breath. It feels like she was given a math sheet instead of a TV show, trying to 'solve' everything

The author revealed that Homura relived the time loop about 100 times before the current timeline of the show, that would put her at about 12 years of constantly experiencing nothing but unfathomable tragedies so yeah, no one can really blame her for turning in to the cold hair flipping boss she became.

Vlad the Third

Oh also the reason Madoka became a witch after destroying Walpurgisnacht in one of those last timelines was because the arrow she fired to take it out was like a nuke that destroyed the entire city and she fell into despair after seeing what she had done.
