Don't mind me i'm just rewatching all your Madoka reactions again T_T also i don't know if you've heard but the sequel Walpurgisnacht: Rising is coming out Winter 2024 so sometime between next Jan-March!

Tsunayoshi Sawada

She can't permanently hold Madoka back. She's just with her in borrowed time since Madoka is regaining her lost identity as a goddess in time and she knows it. Actually, she did not changed the system that Madoka did, she just pulled her consciousness for it to exist as a human, but it will end soon and that part of Madoka will joined her whole self again

Uhh... Yeah, okay. For your case a second re-watch might not be as helpful, and to skip most explanations, it's easier to go right to the ending: In the simplest of terms that you already know, Homura Akemi turned herself into Angra Mainyu. She accepted and became All The Evils of The World, so in turn Madoka would be able to experience all the joys that she had previously sacrificed/given up on. Ultimately giving Madoka a second chance at life, alongside Bebe, Mami, Kyoko, and Sayaka, all who would meet a horrendous and pitiful end originally. Homura's wish, to protect Madoka, can never come true as long as Madoka keeps sacrificing her own happiness for others. Now, though, Homura has positioned herself so that she can ensure Madoka's happiness, no matter how many times Madoka tries to be a martyr. We also know Homura only cares for other people as long as Madoka cares for them, and since Madoka sacrificed herself for *everyone*, it's up to Homura to ensure nobody gets *seriously* hurt, for Madoka's sake. And she can do that now, being essentially an 'Evil' Goddess. In the end, it's a twisted, evil, self-serving love, but one that guarantees a happy ending for everyone else. in anycase, here's a Post-Rebellion slice of life comic written 6 years ago https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/nisekano#2

There is a Madoka Spinoff called Magia Record. You might want to check that out. Same studio as well.

There is actually a sequel for this called Madoka Magica The Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising, though a release date hasn’t been said at all yet. Only thing that’s been released is a small teaser and some cover art
