Asking this to you all before anyone else because I love yo-- SIKE it's solely because you financially support me and nothing else >:=}

After the overwhelmingly positive reception to the Patreon announcement animation, it's gotten me thinking about video production; should I:

Make fully rendered videos with lining, coloring, and fleshed out 3D elements with a turnover time of 2 months per cartoon, that goes around 5 minutes in run-time.

(See EX. 1)*

OR

Make more animatic styled videos with more focus on dynamics, less time spent on the lining and coloring process, will take 2 weeks to produce, and run for around 3 minutes each.

(See EX. 2)*

I'll be posting this in a couple days on Twitter and YouTube Community so know that your votes will have significantly higher impact than the REGULAR scum.

-(EX 1. Rendered)-

-(EX. 2 Dynamic)-

Boardroom meeting, complete. You may now go back to picking your nose and scrolling miserably through Instagram until your break is over.

Personally I dig both styles, but if I had to choose I’d go with the rendered. But hey, maybe you can alternate? Just an idea

popiku

I honestly can't answer straight up, I really like both styles a lot- I'd love to see you switch between both, but I know it's easier to stick to one and keep to it. I'm gonna go ahead and vote for rendered, because you always blow my expectations out of the park with that, but just know I like both of them the same! ;0

Yeah to be honest alternating seems like the best option right now? I really like the quick turnover time of the Dynamic videos but the gratification of a polished Rendered video is really nice too

I really can't decide, both styles are amazing with different uses, but if you're holding a gun to my head, I'll go with rendered. While it's great to get out videos, I always feel that the level of effort you put in makes it worth it, even if we have to wait a bit more to see it. I like both though. Like Ramsey said, maybe a balance between the two would work if you really wanted to keep a coherent upload schedule and get the best of both worlds, but do whatever you feel is appropriate for the video you're making.

I appreciate this. Definitely considering alternating between the two and I'll definitely have that as an option in future polls. Thanks for the input man <3
