Friends, as you may have noticed, I have hardly been in touch this month. It was a difficult month for me. I understand that I am a little tired of the Bright Past. After all, I've been developing this game for almost 6 and a half years! I got a little burnt out and even took a few days off, but it didn't help. Also, in recent months I have been receiving little positive feedback from players, and I am starting to feel like I am taking the game somewhere in the wrong direction. In general, the usual mental torment of a creative person. And yes, if anyone doesn’t know, I have been the only developer of the game all these years.

No matter what, I did not stop development, and have already prepared something interesting for you. I hope to release a new version in early July. There will be an unexpected hot scene with Barbara, as well as 1 new NPC, a new location and something else.

I also hope that I will soon be able to regain the passion that I had before. I've had periods like this before, and old players may remember it.

In any case, the Bright Past is a big part of my life, and I definitely want to bring it to the end at a decent level.

You're probably right, feedback is important and I haven't received any feedback yet. I can assure you that Bright Past clearly stands out from similar games for me and is the only title that has kept me thinking about it long after the computer has been turned off. A really great game and a really great job. And I look forward to every expansion and addition, because even the smallest update always brings new facets to the game.

Man you're doing great stuff here. For working by yourself you've really managed to make a large scope game that tries to tie everything together. Enjoy the content, not gonna knock on anything. Hope you find your passion again. Best wishes going forward.

I'm relatively new to the game but really enjoy it. I love the concept of a musician and making music. Honestly wish there was more to that part of the game but I have some non-AVN's to fill that role. It just seems that sex should go with the rock and roll. I'm anxious to see the last chapter(s) to bring your vision to fruition and again started around 0.7 I think (?).

I am also relatively new to the game and I REALLY love it! It is one of the few games that I don't get tired of playing over and over again. Please take your time before concluding this one. I hope that there are quite a few updates in the future.

Hey buddy, don't feel down! We're all still supporting you here :) The only thing that I think you could do better in the game is to add some more small things here and there to the repeating scenes. Things like more exhibitionism on the bus/metro or the jobs. You know, things that reoccur frequently. Would be nice to have more variety there. The main story and other one-off events of course matter, but to me, much less than the repeating events. This is after all a sandbox game right :)

I think this is an epic game! I hope there will be still a lot to come. I can imagine that there will be times that you feel a bit burnt out. But rest assured: it is a great piece of work the way it is. And yet, I hope there is more to come!

I’ll jump on the love train. I replay every time you throw an update out. The game is well done, lots of choices, and for me has been pretty bug free. I play the lesbian routes and think it has a great amount of content, which is definitely not always the case, and your hard work really shows off. You should be proud of the game, and know that some of us really look forward to updates.

I only found this game a few months ago and am kind of glad to have been introduced at this point, just due to maturity of the development. I have spent quite a few hours on it, but am certain there is still a lot more to see. Thanks for the hard work!

Sounds like it may be time to bring Bright Past to a conclusion. You've been developing it longer than any other creator I've seen work on one game. Burn out is only natural. It's been a great game and your efforts are appreciated. Unfortunately though, you would have to count me among those who were not all that pleased with the way events were playing out the last year or so. It was disappointing to see Alex become more of a total slut with cum all over her face. It seemed an odd choice to me. The more successful she became with her music career and other endeavors the more you seemed to take her down a whore path. I'm sure there are classier ways to portray her growing sexual appetite than that. Hopefully as you wind the project down you can elevate her sexual escapades to more closely align with all the success she's having in the other parts of her life. Anyway, I'm sure you've given thought about what the next project might be. Time to send Alex and the gang out on a high note...a big coliseum event and Alex a true rock star. You're really good at this game dev stuff Kosmo, time to get the creative juices flowing again with another great game. I'll be looking forward to it.

haven't left a comment in a while - largely because of my own RL issues more than any problem with Bright Past. I will say I am not really interested in the 'degraded whore' aspect that has seemed to be the path for a while now: a) there are a HORDE of games that seem to hate their protagonist that way and want to destroy her, which is not what I am looking for; b) I feel it really takes away from the eroticism that as more defined Bright Past previously; and lastly c) it seems extremely out of character for Alex, who has a drive to succeed rather than an overwhelming self-destructive urge - especially seeing as she has a host of people around her that actually care and support her rather than just take advantage. I can completely understand 'burn out' - like most of us (one way or another) I have had to deal with it. I would advise to take a step back and really think before you make any drastic steps though... make sure it is what *you* want rather than just the burn-out talking. You may want to also think about the direction the game is going and the story you originally set out to tell: is the current direction actually the WAY you wanted to go or has the project been subject to 'feature creep' and deviated in some way? It may be that by going back to your original desire you find your passion again.

I believe Alex can be as much a whore as you want, personally I like the super slutty things to be there, it´s a choice anyway you can if you want to, you´re allowed to go the full extent, if you don´t that is also fine, there are good story elements to also play a ¨cleaner¨ Alex. Also a new game will be good to get the creativity rolling, this one can go to closure as long as we see some of the stories close, I really look forward to see Kian happy as well as the drummer with OWL, Jane healed and making peace with her trauma... Thinking of an ending to this story might be sad, but I´ve made my peace with that idea, it will come, and it is near... and hey, if it´s too overwhelming to think about a new large game, you can take some of the existing characters (you have created a whole universe here) and make shorter games that tell a side story, I wouldn´t mind playing a game starring that latino detective guy with a crazy incesty sister for instance, or a Futa fest sandbox of the red light disctrict, or a story of Any random characters that go to a new city... I totally wouldn´t mind and would actually enjoy seeing Flavi, Bonnie and Jane the nympho in any other story.
