Amanda Waller

If there was one thing Amanda Waller hated more than anything it was the need to rely on someone else’s team to accomplish the mission but right now she didn’t have time to complain about what she was about to do. The whole world was being invaded by Darkseid’s army of Parademons and the president had authorized the use of every asset in the hands of the American government, sadly the asset she was about to use wasn’t really in their control.

Sure, on paper he was a prisoner, a felon convicted for life with no chance of parole, to whom the death penalty would have applied if there weren’t two good reasons for it to be denied. The first one was that the prisoner held value as an asset for Task Force X, he had unparalleled strength and intellect that if used properly would ensure the completion of any mission Amanda could send him on the second one…well, the second one was that they hadn’t figured a way to kill him.

One would think differently considering his species but there were freaks even amongst aliens and her least favorite prisoner was one of them, a monster of a man that lived as he wished. Amanda passed through the last checkpoint of the facility she was in before pressing her tongue against a scanner, then her eyes to another scanner and then she put in the password that was generated for the hour of the day she was in. Excessive, perhaps, an absolute waste of resources, but it was the only way the higher-ups knew how to feel in control.

The walls were encrusted with bombs that would cause an explosion made to collapse on itself with the force of a nuclear blast but with a radius no larger than a regular car, laser cannons and turrets were mounted along the way of the facility reinforced with meta-materials and the latest in weapons development. The sisters of these guns were the only thing protecting some parts of America right now and it’s what was giving them a fighting chance beyond the activities of the Justice League and the person who had designed them was waiting beyond the doors in front of her.

Made out of marble, and dotted with symbolisms that alluded to the sun, with words in a language long dead and imagery depicting a bare-chested figure who was wearing a cape on his waist while raising his hands in surrender all specifically made to the instructions of their prisoner, a prisoner that was only inside the prison because he wanted to be. Someone who had managed to defeat the entirety of the Justice League and was only defeated thanks to the treachery of his accomplice, someone who should have died but instead returned with even more power.

Amanda pushed the doors open and beheld the private room of the man, the walls filled with books and the sound of classical music sounding in the place as the smell of some of the most delicious food ever made by humans hands reached her ears all lavishly decorated to the standards of the most decadent men.

There sat the bane of her existence.

H’el

“Warden Waller” the Kryptonian smiled at her as he said her name in the way one would tell a joke, it infuriated her but there was no time to waste not with how things were going outside the complex.

“I don’t have time for your posturing H’el, you have a mission” Amanda spoke with confidence but the truth was that they had yet to find a weakness for the man, biological or otherwise, he was as close to invincible as one could get since unlike his other brethren he had proved to be immune to kryptonite.

“Yes, I was wondering how many people you were going to let die before you came to me” H’el brought the glass in his hand to his mouth and emptied it, drinking without care or class one of the most expensive liquids on earth as the wine he had just drunk as if it was water cost as much as a luxury car per bottle “it was less than I thought”

“Stop wasting time.” he snorted at her words “Just deliver the message as intended and we will get you your reward.”

H’el stood up and walked to her, in his hands, the bottle of Chateau Cheval Blanc materialized before she could even process it was there and once he was in front of her he offered her a glass. Growling she accepted the offered drink and sipped it as one was supposed to, the hints of tobacco and the sweet taste of the grapes were complimented by a hint of smoke, it was delicious.

“It was a great harvest, made two years after the second world war,” he spoke as if she didn’t know that when she was the one to get it for him “And yet it barely reaches my expectations but perhaps there is something else that can entertain me, I know that Harley is very…useful to you”

H’el smiled at her with a knowing look at that and Amanda decided not to play his game and once he noticed she wouldn’t H’el continued “But I miss her very much, you should bring her here more often”

The warden of Belle Reve held back a sigh, she should have guessed where he was going with his words, the man was sometimes too direct, too simple in his wants and it was her job to keep him in compliance, the fact that Harley was a willing participant in her visits with H’el made it easier too but that didn’t mean she had to like it as Amanda was almost acting like a pimp which was degrading to her values even if she privately admitted that she had done worse things to other people and this would comparatively be one of her lesser sins.

The ground shook, and the sound of a massive explosion could be heard even in the deep underground so-called cell that H’el lived in meant that things had gone even worse making her sigh for real.

“Fine, you will get Harley for as long as you want unless a mission comes up” As she spoke Amanda passed him a tablet full of information and data that contained the landing zones and overall movements of the invading force as well as the weak points they had identified in the army of Parademons.

“I know” With a cheerful grin on his face H’el started glowing with the telltale sign of his power  “I will see you in a second”

Then he disappeared.

Amanda Waller was having a great day, her team had just finished a mission without her having to explode anyone’s head! She only needed to decode the information and send it to her partners inside the army for them to start their own show.

A few moments later the smirk on her face was wiped out as she found her least favorite asset sitting in her chair, with a smile on his now less scarred face but with those unsettling eyes with black sclera and red pupils that were as much a warning as a statement of what he could do locked onto her own as H’el waved around a tablet.

“Good news warden, it seems like you’ve received a message from yourself” He floated the device onto her hands with his telekinetic abilities and gently let it go once her fingers were around it “I hope you give me my prize as soon as you can”

Then he was twirling on the chair as she read about the impending attack on her world, about the number of casualties, and of the recommendations, her future self had for the situation that she would be facing in two days but one of them stood out from her the most, it was one that until now they hadn’t done at all, something that was unbelievable to her current self but that appeared entirely necessary if she trusted the words of the Amanda Waller of the future.

“You will have your prize once you finish your mission” For the first time ever since he gave himself over to the United States Government a year ago the ever-present smile on his face vanished. “According to my future counterpart, it seems like it’s time for you to do more than just deliver messages, by the authority invested in me by the United States, you, H’el of Krypton, are now a member of Task Force X aka The Suicide Squad, and are hereby ordered to hack into the boom tubes of the Apokoliptian forces and put an end to their invasion by any means necessary”

A long silence took over the room and the intense gaze of the alien didn’t leave her form, Amanda could feel the psychic abilities of H’el knocking on the mental barriers Amanda had implanted in her mind (one could never be too careful with secrets) almost as if he was deciding whether to end with the game or not but before he did anything more H’el started laughing.

It started like a low rumble that soon grew to be an almost demented laugh the likes of which fit perfectly in Belle Reve until it turned into an almost savage howl of satisfaction, teal-colored energy poured out from every part of H’el and the alarms in her office were soon blaring but Amanda didn’t send out any distress order to her forces.

“Finally!” Was all H’el said once he wasn’t laughing, before disappearing from her sight in a flash of light, it was unnecessary but the alien liked his showmanship, she just hoped that this was the correct decision as the government had taken great pains in ensuring that H’el was a non-entity to the radar of the Justice League and the other governments of the world who already distrusted the United States for their insistence that the Justice League was more American than any kind of international force and who would no doubt protest at having another Kryptonian serving on U.S soil.

“Check the cameras of asset: codename ‘Hell’” Amanda spoke into her wrist where her command was soon transferred to a large monitor that descended from the ceiling of her office. The cameras she was talking about were installed into the face of H’el by himself and allowed them to see everything he could, it was how they confirmed the truth of his abilities as a time traveler and right now they were showing her the apocalypse.

Thankfully, it wasn’t the end of the earth but the destruction of Apokolips, Amanda Waller was watching in first person as the world of Darkseid was being torn apart by his own weapons, holes in space and time were being opened by the mother boxes now serving under H’el, Parademons were redirected to distant stars and supernovas suddenly were moved to Apokolips, Darkseid’s Furies were being manhandled by the Kryptonian with such ease that it boggled the mind and any warrior trying to interrupt the battle was soon teleported somewhere else, explosions of psionic energy and normal explosion dotted the landscape as millions died by the second.

“Are you not those favored by Darkseid? What a disappointment” H’el says as he uses one of the Furies to beat another, there is a sinister smile on his face, and Amanda thanks whatever force is helping in keeping the Kryptonians living on earth so peaceful “I have grown bored of you, is there another challenger?”

“I will face you Kryptonian, I will be your doom!”

Kalibak firstborn of Darkseid enters the fray and is immediately punched into the planet's center for his trouble. Steppenwolf is next and he fares no better as H’el waves his hand to break his axe before using the broken remains against the New God.

The next one to challenge the invader is DeSaad who laughs at the broken forms of his compatriots taunting them as he walks toward H’el who despite the situation is as calm as ever.

“You have provoked the fury of Apokolips, your death will be slow and painful, beings from across the universe will tell legends about the suffering that will be inflicted on you” the main torturer of Darkseid taunts.

“You’re nothing more than a bootlick and I don’t fear you” H’el answers in turn as he remains steadfast in his position.

At least until the true leader of the planet appears behind DeSaad.

“Then let us see you fight our lord! I present to you the mighty Darkseid!” with a bow DeSaad moves and Darkseid enters the scene and for the first time since she knows him Amanda can see a semblance of fear on H’el but that soon passes as he starts to laugh again and between blinks of her eyes blinding light fills her screen, the special camera does its job though an Amanda is there to witness something that even the most devout astronomers can only wish to see.

On the screen, there are hundreds of blue stars, perhaps thousands, taken from all over the universe, all for this fight and the confident face of Darkseid disappears as he watches H’el bathing in the light of some of the rarer stars in the universe.

“Impudent animal!” roars the ruler of Apokolips as he shoots beams from his eyes and soon he is matched by H’el, the stalemate last for only a moment as the stars empower the Kryptonian beyond anything that has ever existed, beyond any other figure in the universe right now, and the struggle is broken as the light coming from H’el engulfs the being that personifies hate.

Amanda blinks and the suns are no longer there, on the ground the people that rule over the planet lie defeated, DeSaad who was so confident before now prostrates himself before H’el.

“Oh! Mighty and honorable being! Please allow this humble servant to please you” DeSaad speaks without hesitation as he reveals just how much loyalty he has for Darkseid.

H’el only laughs in response before pointing to the distance where Darkseid can be seen, his armor torn and his body bloodied but alive, DeSaad looks like a ghost now with the way his grey skin turns white.

The enraged Darkseid moves so fast that it almost looks like he teleported himself as he lands in front of the man that has laid waste to his planet an experience that no doubt is new to him.

“Why have you come here Kryptonian?” Darkseid asks before shooting DeSaad with his Omega Beams tearing the man apart atom by atom while he screams in agony.

“I came to stop the invasion of Earth” H’el declares proudly as both he and Darkseid observe the damage done to the planet, there are gashes so great that one would think the planet was torn in half, the rivers of lava and fire that once could be seen in the distance are no more and the slaves that Darkseid had taken from all over the universe are dead. “I think I have succeeded”

Darkseid tries to grapple him but H’el teleports himself away “I will kill you” roars the New god.

“You will die trying!” responds the Kryptonian before the blue suns return to the planet, this time in even greater numbers.

Amanda doesn’t know how much time passes as she watches the two beings fight, to her everything is a blur, the ground cracks, space distorts and some of the suns go supernova but in the end, there is only one winner.

Bloodied, and hurt, with one arm broken and several of his ribs poking out of his chest H’el stands victorious over Darkseid.

“You cannot kill me!” H’el nods at the words and for a moment Amanda fears that he will leave the mission incomplete.

“You’re right, I can’t kill you, not with my fists or with my mind, not with technology or magic and already you’re regenerating and you’ve destroyed many of my suns. I can’t kill you but this, this can”

H’el holds a strange blade in his hands that glows an ominous blue that makes Darkseid recoil back in true fear.

“Radion!”

“Yes, the only weakness of the New Gods, I could kill you right now but I won’t. Not because of some stupid moral code or because I can see your redemption in the future but because I know that the universe has a balance and whether I like it or not you’re part of it, if I kill you another one might take your place. So I’m giving you a warning stay away from Earth, stay away from this galaxy and those surrounding it or I will come back and finish the job”

Darkseid’s expression is something ugly, there are no words in the human language to describe the expression that comes over his face as he realizes that he has lost. That his empire has been broken, that he has been defeated by a single being that defies everything he knows about the universe and how the universe works while Amanda Waller cheers in her mind as she knows that she possesses a weapon beyond compare, someone who can defeat the gods themselves, a being that will assure the superiority of the United States as the global hegemon for the rest of time.

“I accept your terms” Darkseid mumbles before screaming, "Leave my planet!”

The next thing Amanda watches on the screen is a view of the solar system, she watches the sun from a distance so close that she doubts any other living being apart from H’el has seen, in seconds the wounds on his body start disappearing, the cuts and bruises on his grey skin stat to become smaller, with a little help from his hands his ribs go back into place and soon there isn’t a single sign that he just went toe to toe with one of the most powerful beings in the universe.

Amanda blinks and H’el is back in her chair, once more spinning around on it.

“I’ve finished the mission”

Author Note: so a new story, I had this plot bunny in my mind for a while. Overpowered Si's are overdone but I like them cause I'm a basic bitch like that and I thought why not make one with the most broken Kryptonian to have ever been on a comic, not counting future Superman, H'el.

I will leave you H'el's respect thread from Reddit so you can see just how OP he is, I mean he was so OP that he could only appear once. Unlike the other stories there is no waiting time until the protagonist is the strongest, H'el has had a year to prepare and he has done the most of it, only truly cosmic beings like the Endless, Lucifer, Michael, Perpetua, or the Spectre can beat him, obviously, they stomp on him hard and it's no battle but for people like Darkside, the monitors or the entities of the emotional spectrum he will be hard to beat and if he has time to prepare then he will always win like in this chapter, there will also be sex that I promise you.

P.S.: On a funny note, the idea of a man so powerful that he might as well be free comes from the manga/anime of Baki which has a character they call Unchained. (Also, yes, I like Baki, even though like much of fighting-focused anime/manga it gets dumb or repetitive but very it's entertaining)

P.S.: I like Harley but she isn't the main waifu so I may do a poll for it.
