There was an absolutely massive shadowy thing looking down on me and I had no idea what was happening but the moment the words waifu-catalog came out of his mind I started screaming in joy.

“Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!” I was pumping my fists in the air, I was going to abuse the catalog as much as I could.

“I’m going to have to stop you right there,” the thing said as he used one finger to put my arm down “You think I don’t know you? Pal, you’re not the first you that I’ve recruited, and after the first three went off on massive power trips five seconds after landing I got orders to stop that from happening again”

It was strange to think that something as obviously powerful as…him? had superiors.

“Complementing me in your mind is not going to make change the restrictions,” the guy said with a tired sigh “Just let me do my job, I have to report back on this new experiment after this, on second thought take your time” 

wow someone really didn’t like work.

“Who do you answer to anyway, like who runs the company?” I was very curious since someday I may find myself in the same exact spot that this guy was in.

“It’s less a who and more like a what, you know how we can’t really get bored of living thanks to the company, well some executives are beyond old so old I your mind couldn’t even comprehend it if I told you. Obviously being so old and naturally powerful made them lonely after a while, sure they had women and men from all over the omniverse but they were more like pets to them. One day one of them got the idea to seduce another, they fell in love the old-fashioned way and then they had the bright idea to fuse themselves with each other into a new being because they couldn’t bear to be apart”

That doesn’t sound healthy. It wasn’t.Holy fuck that felt weird! Don’t do it again please!

“Then the new being decided that it wanted to do it again and found someone else that found the idea intriguing, so now they were even more powerful but on the bright side, the new them didn’t want to absorb everyone. Anyway over the years more people liked the idea and joined this new super being and that being is the head of the company”

“Cool, so…catalog” I will not think about the giant amalgam of beings that rules my omniverse, shit! I’m thinking about it!

“Right, you’re limited to chose between tier six and seven worlds because the lower ones are boring and the upper ones, well you found ways to accelerate your growth so disgustingly that it wasn’t even fun to watch”

“Really? How?” I had some idea but to think that they would actually work.

“The first you went to Battleworld as H’el, you made molecule man addicted to your food and leveraged that to take control of the world and everything in it as you basically supplanted Doom and started weaving shit into reality so that no one as smart as Doom or Reed was able to be born and thus there would be no one capable of stealing your power, I was honestly impressed with that you, he only took five minutes because he wasted two of those fucking around in space”

That’s so cool! Shame I can’t do that.

“The second you that broke things was the one that decided to possess Alex Mercer when he was dropped in the Ben Ten world, he didn’t waste any time in going for the Celestialsapiens and the rest is history. He took longer because of the trip but it sure was boring to watch him fuck around in a spaceship until he reached the forge of creation. You’re also forbidden from choosing that body again.”

Well, there go my original plans for worm, it sure would have been nice to infect one of the space whales.

“Can you give me one more example?” it would give me time to think of another build.

“Eh, Sure. Another very memorable power trip was one where you started in DxD as an extra character with Acnologia’s powers, that idiot went and ate Ddraig just seconds after landing. No preamble or anything he just went chomping at the dragon soul, then he went on a capturing spree and while he waited for the tattoo to appear he went about eating any magical artifact he could get his hands on including some of the most powerful sacred gears, you would think someone could stop him with some hax but the fool just had so much power that he shrugged off anything and those who tried to seal him or contain him soon noticed that he could eat the barriers and seals”

“That sounds entertaining!”

“Dude he conquered the world in like a week! That’s less than a second to some of the higher beings that were watching”

“But you didn’t punish any of them right?” I asked nervously.

“Nah, hate the game, not the player. That’s why you’re getting some restrictions. Speaking of which you can’t possess or power swap anyone whose tier is seven or more”

ok not ideal but I could work with that.

“Also you need to choose between ten worlds of my choosing, so don’t go off thinking that you can just ask for some obscure shit or something like that. Leave that to the explorers you’re here to entertain”

“Right! Not going for the kill as soon as I land! So, what are my options?”

“Warhammer Fantasy, Overlord with no players active”

No Nazarick that sucks.

On the other hand I could go in as Vlad Von Carstein before he starts the first vampire war, I could just throw Manfred and Konrad to the Scaven while slowly corrupting the nobility of the old world.

“JBA Stone Ocean, Hero Academia pre All Might”

Either of those could work, god I could fuck the world so badly if I chose Stone Ocean. I wonder what kind of face Jotaro would make if I chose that and went as DIO. The best part is that I could complete the plan and become Heaven ascension DIO, it would take like a month though and that was perhaps still too short for those who were going to watch me.

And if I went to MHA with Enel’s powers from One Piece I would be invincible, not many waifus until a few decades later though.

“Invincible the comic not the TV show, can’t stand the new Amber, Fairy tail is there too as an option but you would be starting from the time skip”

Not too sure about Invincible but I can figure something out and Fairy Tail has lots of waifus, some very good ones too and I can just start slow with some power-ups and work my way to the top and more importantly all my girls would get a power up just by being in love thanks to how magic worked there and that was huge bonus that I couldn’t just ignore.

“You could try out RWBY, it’s very popular in some circles, sure the story gets wonky at times but I’ll throw in something if you play as Adam they really did him dirty by turning him into an idiot Yandere or maybe you can be the iron Daddy himself, heh, James Ironwood. Anyway You could go to Naruto too, another you was in the middle of a run but we had to put that on hold. Just do me a favor and avoid any incest if possible should you choose that”

Not gonna lie that last part about putting a world on hold sounds scary but the waifus might just be worth it. shame about the incest but I’m sure they have their reasons.

As for choosing RWBY I don’t know anything about what happened beyond the fall of beacon apart from some Salem stuff so that’s a very big toss-up, however dommy mommy Salem might be worth it and there were cat girls there too.

“Of course everyone’s favorite shithole Worm is available and as a last option another place where there is no hope Cyberpunk! Edgerunners too so you can get that sweet, sweet copium in case you chose to take over David”

Shit! I know just how to break worm, it would take a while but by the end I would be nigh unkillable, but the place was a deathtrap, there were some good waifus though and plenty of broken powers.

On the other hand, there was Cyberpunk, I would feel like a dirtbag by taking over David but I could get a happy ending and I was sure I knew how to break the setting too. Just a few purchases and there would be nothing in there that could prove to be a threat.

“So, what will it be kid?” I was not young enough to be a kid but then again I wasn’t an eldritch thing that measured time on some weird scale.

“I think I know where to go”

Author note: so this is a little experiment of mine, in which i will try to run a semi-quest? a demi-quest? essentially i'm going to give you a bunch of options at the end of each chapter but what happens when you choose is up to me, in this case you choose the world but i make the build, then you will choose the first target and isome other things depending on the setting.

So check out the poll that comes after this thing. Also i will choose a title later and i just might let you choose. Next chapters will also be longer than this.
