John Hart

nice episode lads (haven't listened, might not listen)

Josh Rogers

Holy shit, I completely forgot about David Flair!

Stuart Iversen

I moved to Japan on Friday and have been to 4 wrestling shows already, and have another 4 over the weekend, so I think I might now have a permanent wrestling fever.

Greg London

David Flair wanted to be a State Trooper?! It's literally the plot to Ready 2 Rumble!

Space Lou

Good ole throaty Marc Also if you haven’t watched it, I recommend seeing flair walk out of a kill Tony when they try bullying a man who runs a wrestling club for troubled youth.

David Maltby

I'm can't decide if I want you to have shelled out £20,000 to get on Cody's vodka bus or if I would be disappointed if you did.

James Blevins

Paul McCartney has the least rare handshake in human history. I've never thought about it like that.

Griffin Madill

Going to need that Vera Lynn joke in the newsletter now.

Damien

Currently listening to dirty dog Bret Hart's audiobook. He details in that a hotel-room cocaine bonding session with other troubled wrestlers - Piper, Adrian Adonis, Sheik etc. where they exchange childhood stories and background stories. The old wrestlers came from all walks of life & had to move from territory across continents which made them such interesting curiosities

Paul Best

If I remember correctly I think they made Saturn wear the dress as a punishment for something he did backstage. I vaguely remember them mentioning around the time he had the moppy gimmick that he'd embrace that like he did wearing the dress in WCW

Neil Pyle

When i was with FWA. We booked Blue Meanie and his then adult film star girlfriend Jasmin St Claire. For legal reasons Da Blue Guy wasn't allowed in the country so Little Guido replaced him, some people were genuinely angry about the swap. Somewhat less so when the saw Guido was still accompanied by the porn star. Seems she was the draw, Little perverts

Ross Kent

On that same 1PW Donaster show with Blue Meanie they did a Q&A earlier in the day which I think will be on the DVD and be more entertaining. My main memory is a coach driver asking a question to Sandman, who asked what his profession was - when he said “coach driver” Sandman who seemed worse for wear was totally confused that this man drove around sports coaches for a living, I’ll never forget his bemused face

Jack Jones

Now you said that David wanted to be a State Trooper I can just picture young David there dressed up like a character from the Super Troopers movie where everybody else is hilariously funny but when David opens his mouth he sucks all the fun out of the scene

John Orton

Thanks for the extended musical outro. Could have listened to that all day

Frank S

I've just realised that David Flair wanting to become a state trooper but pressured into becoming a wrestler is an inverse of David Arquette's arc in Ready To Rumble.

Chris Dale

I saw David Flair on his UK excursion with All Star at the Victoria Hall in Hanley. Can’t remember him doing much wrestling but my mum thought he was funny so another feather in his cap there.

Lord Farquaad

I went to high school with someone who’ll likely be performing at Tony Hinchcliff’s Wrestlemania show, it’s remarkable how Hinchcliff was able to turn his musical act about life in Middle America into songs punching down on Muslims and homeless people

Ivan williams

David flairs ruddy cheeks remind me of a schoolboy who has run up a hill to tell his friends the fantastical creature they found in the dump, and befriended, is still alive "Chester! Myfanwy! The Jruttlenux is still alive!"

Ivan williams

First they came for John tenta, and I said nothing, as I wasn't John tenta Then they came for Chris Jericho, and I said nothing, as I wasn't Chris Jericho Then they came for David flair, and I said nothing as it turns out they really like him

Tom

Jericho started his WWF career by having his back to the audience for a solid minute. Give over lads, the (young version of the) boy’s a beast.

Ryan Hald

David Flair reminds me of an android with minimal programming thrown into a pro wrestling tag team match. The post match angle where he’s pushed around is hilarious because of how expressionless his face is. It’s also a very real depiction of giant 300 pound men shoving around a random Joe who’s got 0 athletic ability and equilibrium. Holding him down and whipping him actually spared him of further humiliation!

Ross Pollard

Having grown up in the employment catchment area of Heathrow I could organise a 4 DVD box set of people shooting on Cilla Black, everyone I know who met her thinks she’s worse that Bret Hart thinks Goldberg is I really wish those chats with Barry Cryer had been recorded though,
