I haven't watched the Brodie Jr match, but kids debuting is fairly common in joshi. They don't typically work 30 minute main events, though. They're usually very limited in what they're allowed to do (and how they're allowed to bump) and spend most of the time doing 5 minute openers or tags. From what I've seen, Joey looked after the kid, and he's learning from the right people, so I'm sure he'll be taken care of, but I do get Marc's worries.
