Smudge

Get me a lump of coal while you are down there please. Thanks in advance!

Ronny J. Hantusch

I really get your point of doing it that way still I'm a tiny bit sad not having early access to Demo 401 V2.1 being also a patreon. Don't get me wrong, I will always love your work and appreciate it so so much! Keep on rocking :)

Race

Who gets access to it?

Morgan Brooks

I got a certified piece from eBay last year. It was from the 1996 expedition by the guy who was on the Titan last year, sadly…

Morgan Brooks

Err, didn’t mean to send that yet. I was trying to say check eBay? Or Google it?

Rik Huggett

What about us who contributed $50 in the beginning? It feels like we've been forgotten. Are we still getting our names on the return voyage, and why don't we get any privileges. Sorry about the whinge but I just wanted to get this off my chest.

Alan (cbc)

I feel the same. For Demos' it shouldn't be limited to the wealthiest tier. We all contribute what we can afford to give to keep the project running and the demos should be early for all Patrons in my opinion, baring in mind that the demos are literally given away to people who pay nothing at all and make no contribution whatsoever.

I enjoyed the livestream - The added music setlist and graphic upgrades are another step forward. But after another year i was really expecting a litte more, just a little new area or corridor, open door added (2nd class cabine). It feels like too many ressources go into new video animations and on the other side Derek is still the only person workin or improving the Demo? I sincerely hope we get more information on the status and timeline of Project 401 next month - as Mr. Penka stated.

Derek Verveer

I think we've been extremely clear on multiple occasions that no additional spaces were going to be added to the demo. We recognize that the demo does not have a long term future, and we very deliberately are not spending any additional time on it. There are more important things to work on. Regaring Project401. It's being worked on, and good progress is being made, but we we've been doing with demo releases, we will not be announcing any anticipated timelines or release dates. We will likely make concrete announcements when we get near to release.

I'm sorry I missed the livestream but currently catching up. Good to see the live back! It's been a long time

Derek Verveer

It isn't limited to the wealthiest tier. It's being rolled out to each tier, one per day, starting with officers and working down to the lower tiers.

Martin B.

Thanks for clearin that up, i'm looking forward for any updates on Project 401 :)

Alan (cbc)

Fair enough. But I think at the time of my post no such commitment had been made and it was the stream itself that said officers then everybody else 5 days later.

Rik Huggett

I agree with Alan, you've literally created a class system much like on the Titanic, only you've put us who contributed in the beginning in the same class as those who contribute nothing, that isn't fair, I'm fed up with being one of the forgotten ones.

Alan (cbc)

I understand that you are reluctant to commit when you have reset several times but we are in a cost of living crisis, some idea of how long funding will be required is something I, as a businessman, would expect from any organisation I support financially if they want more than the basic level of financial support from me. I did the deckhand tier for two years but cannot commit financially to that year after year with an open ended end date. When you do make concrete announcements, I will up my contribution to something more appropriate than the basic tier I am on now however.

Its the changes following unforeseen delays that I have a hard time swallowing. In December 2021 and I quote "Though DEMO 401 is free, you can show your support for this incredible endeavour by making a donation to the project or joining the THG Patreon for as little as $2 a month! A Patreon membership not only funds the reconstruction of Titanic but entitles you to special perks including early access to the THG Alpha.**" (Beginning at 10.00 dollars a month, Deckhand Tier which is now 20% dearer at 12 bucks a month.) Now access to the Alpha is only for the highest three tiers at 20, 30 and 50 bucks a month according to the perks listings. So why a 20% rise in price in two years but a loss of Alpha access for Deckhands? How is that fair when Deckhand were at one time eligible for a "delayed" Alpha? This is partly why I dropped my tier to the lowest level, inconsistency in perks year by year despite a pretty big price hike. It just didn't seem fair to me when team delays was the reason for the absence of the alpha to begin with.
