This gate was photographed in the wreck in the 90s by the ROV Robin. It was claimed to be one that kept back 3rd class passengers, but as you can see it was in the mailroom.

As for any Olympic Class Vessel there could of quite likely never had been more than 10 of these "Botswick gates: anyway!

Britannic x8 officially but more likely 10 with the final two protecting the Alternate 2nd/3rd Class "Section N" from the Class that for that particular trip was not to be allocated to that particular section. On Titanic 's only Trans Atlantic attempted crossing this was allocated to 3rd Class!
