Sorry.. I know on other ships they have all sorts of colors. I meant on titanic..lol

First I was very skeptical about the new theory regarding the colours of capstans and windlasses being painted green as well as the warning notice board being black... As for the notice board. I thought that it has to be red because this colour is an eye catcher, and the red is associated with a danger. The warning should have been noticed by other boats as fast as possible and from a far distance. This is what I always thought. Regarding the colours of the capstans and windlasses... Well, there is no evidence of being them 100% gray, indeed. I think the modelers and Titanic enthusiasts around the world just got used to the traditional dark-grayish colour of the equipment. And since most of these people are pretty conservative they mostly will stick to the traditional colour style. But after reading the articles written by Bob Read, I tend now to believe that he might be right in regards to the new colours. Vasilije Ristović, Cyril Codus and Michael Brady seem to support the new theory - they've already made some changes to their model/artworks. @ THG: What about you, guys? Will you stick to the traditional thinking, or are you going to change your mind and choose the new theory? It would be cool if the gamers could customise these colours in the game menu 🙂 P.S.: I hope Matt DeWinkeleer didn't read this post 😄
