Where the two compartments at the tank top deck level that contained the fireman’s pipe tunnel used for anything as the cargo hatches above were obstructed at least partially by the tunnel as was the the compartments being completely bisected down the middle by said tunnel?

One thing I was always curious about was concerning the pool/Turkish Bath features. Today we would put our bathing suits and grab a towel and head for the pool. In 1912, I'm imagining that people just didn't walk around in bathing wear like we do. Did you wear something simple when you went down for a swim or a massage? Clothes weren't as simple as ours are. Would you get fully dressed only to remove them shortly after? Women especially needed help dressing owing to the complicated fastenings on their dresses.

This one's from my partner and I'm not sure if it's been answered before: would the Titanic be as notable and well known had the disaster not happened. Do you think it would have still had a big impact today?

And here's one from me, apologies if it's already been asked. Would you guys go on a reconstruction of the Titanic? Possibly the one in China? There's something that feels a bit off about it to me, making profit out of a tragedy. But on the other hand, without the interest of people like us the history might not stay alive. So, it's a tricky one. Having said that, I'll be off to China like a shot to see the reconstruction 😂

Would Titanic have been a troop ship over Olympic had she not sunk? She had more rooms on b deck

First, thanks for all you do! I know Titanic didn’t have a public address (PA) system to give instructions from the bridge throughout the ship, though I assume it had some type of telephone system from the bridge to critical areas like the engine room, etc. if I’m wrong please feel to correct me. How much later in liner design was it before PA systems were incorporated to allow officers to speak directly to passengers?

How did they install the glass domes above the forward and aft grand staircase. was it cranes lifting glass sections, and how big was each section. Was the glass put in between or outside of the wrought iron detailing, what was the main support of the chandelier?

If the disaster had not happened, do you think that the White Star Line would still have existed today, or do you think they would have merged with Cunard line in any case?

I believe I read once that if both of the steering engines on Titanic failed, along with compartment's winches, the ship's tiller could be rigged to the capstans on the poop deck to turn the 101¼-ton rudder manually. Is this true?

Sam

Not strictly a titanic question, though I imagine the answer would be about the same. What was Olympic like in rough weather?

On the Tank top, all the way aft in the propeller shaft tunnels, the Bruce Beveridge deck plans indicate 2 spots for "Electric Engine if Necessary". What does that mean? Did the ship always have spare electric engines there, or was this space simply empty and reserved for more electric engines if they ever became needed in the future of the ship's life?

This has probably already been answered in some video but just curious how much work is involved and how long does it take to go from models in SketchUp to what we see in Unreal?

That smoking room has improved quite a bit since the demo, when it looked a little rough around the edges.
