Earlier in the comic, the Prisoner mentioned how no one uses dimensional magic as the tear in reality is easy to detect. Although normal mages are able to do so, the Old Ones were the ones he was really worried about. Enough has leaked out that one of the swarm is reaching out for a bite. 

Thankfully it is only one. If a larger portion of the swarm came down...
