As mentioned in the character sheet, Sa-nah is Insight's primary aide in her research. Part of her duties included the responsibility for the well-being of their 'lab animals.' She knows very well how to she wants her subjects to act. 

In her spare time, she would often watch the cat fights set up by Crusher's crew. Naked women would wrestle and violate each other to spare themselves the indignity of the sex pits. Sa-nah enjoyed the clumsy desperation on display. She knows very well how animals are tamed.
