Coming from a rich merchant family, Mirena knows how to run a business. 

With magic flying rig and her harpy friends she will provide transport and delivery service for the well-to-do of Malev City.

The flight attendants help the passengers don the leather jacket protecting them from the harpy claws.

Metera was a witch that waylaid travelers, such as Alesa here, and turned them into foul harpies. She took pleasure in their foulness and squabbling, and encouraged  them to wallow in filth and envy. 

In spite of this, Merena managed to befriend these foul creatures, overthrow the witch (with a little help from Renee and Li), and make the harpies clean up and behave, and form a friendlier flock.

Metera, the witch, turned innocent wayfarers to foul harpies. This was to avenge herself on the world, after the magic council had punished her for previous misdeeds by magicking her arms away.

After defeating her, Li and Renee gave her a metal snake to serve instead of her missing arms. This would groom her and feed her. It would also reward her when she behaved good and punish her when she behaved bad -hopefully rehabilitating her in the long run.

Vitsippa (Windflower) is an elf turned into a harpy by Metera's magic. Even transformed she remains an elf, differing from other harpies by her elf ears and elf legs (same as human legs).
