Background practice / Comic Preview (Patreon)

Hey there! Hope you’re all doing great! Fall is approaching so fast now and I can already feel the air changing, and my art seems reflects that with my new favorite colors being in the red-yellow range. I’m very excited to escape from the heat, really can’t wait for the biting cold (genuinely!)

I’ve been focusing a bit more on my backgrounds. They take a hefty chunk of time to do but I think it’s worth it once I gain some confidence and explore with different mediums! I drew a castle, traditionally, on paper, and colored it digitally + obviously added a dragon.

I tried to make something cohesive without spending time on details. And I think it turned out better with the comic I’m currently drawing:

Or maybe I just like drawing nature more :P It allows for more loose scribbling while still looking like, well, greenery.
