Morgoth

At first I was a little bummed by this choice. only because, as you mentioned in the episode, this IS a universally loved and adored film. This is prime rib...er mutton, not necessarily junk food. Kind of thought the podcast was about enjoying the good "bad/quirky" movies unironically, finding hidden/under-watched gems, etc. I could understand (academy award winning) Untouchables because I bet most younger people never heard of it. But everyone and their mom has TPB ingrained in their psyche. Not to say it wasn't a good episode. Only bummed because if this is the end of the summer series, there was so much that you didn't talk about that was truly junky that I'd love to see people turned on to (like how you turned me on to Der Samurai and Maniac Cop). Maybe a "worthy mentions" episode? [I mean: Hidden gem: Three o'Clock High; Genre: Hellraiser, Near Dark, Bad Taste, EVIL DEAD II (which was released after Lethal Weapon), Creepshow 2; Anime: Devilman, Robot Carnival; Junky prestige: Full Metal Jacket, Fatal Attraction] I mean, wow! 1987 might have been the best summer for a lot of junky cinema.

Junkfood Cinema

You're talking as if this is the last Summer of 87 episode...it's not

Just as a heads up, this episode never showed up in my patreon feed in my podcatcher. I listened to it via the normal feed (or I could have listened to it here if I wanted) , so no big loss, but wanted to let you know just in case I wasn't the only one that had an issue. Thank you!

Awe, sorry for the over-reaction. In the episode it sounded like this was going to your last of the "summer of 87" series. I must have mis-heard. (d'oh!) It really was a great episode, and I am, of course, looking forward to the next!
