Kicking off the next batch of 200 episodes (god help us all), Brian and Cargill bring the summer of 88 to a close with a movie that's actually three movies in one!

This is one of those forgotten gems from the 80’s that I saw only because it made the premium cable rounds...

Santos

Shakedown feels like it was a longer and more coherent movie that was cut down to focus more on the action.

Hot Dog On A Stick sexualized making lemonade

Nathan Helton

A standout episode. The guys knocked it out of the park (or ran it off of the rails—take yer pick).

Dylan Elliott

Damn, I thought for SURE "They Live" would come up this summer. Oh well.

Well, this will be in the hidden gem category for me this time around. Never heard of this one. As always, I'm looking forward to tracking it down. And if this is the last of the series, I already have my mailbag question ready for next time ;-) Kind of like they did the quick takes on '89 and '90s films, I'm curious about 15-20 movies from '88 that they decided not to do. I know one rule is they both have to like the movie, but still, I'm surprised by at least a couple of them.

Santos

They ran it off the rails and destroyed the park.

Forgive me if I'm picking you up wrong but I think you guys may be getting your movies mixed up with regards to The Astrologer. There’s a 1975 film of that name directed by James Glickenhaus (<a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0187530/?ref_=nv_sr_2)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0187530/?ref_=nv_sr_2)</a> but the more notorious movie that shares that name came out a year later, directed by Craig Denney (<a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2419808/?ref_=nv_sr_1)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2419808/?ref_=nv_sr_1)</a> - the latter was the one picked up by AGFA and shown at Fantastic Fest a few years ago.

Another great episode for a movie I am going to have watch now. Just one thing, Brian: why you so down on The Soldier? It's cold war 80s cheese, music by Tangerine Dream, it's not that bad of a movie.
