I’ve been considering getting rid of films in my collection directed by Bryan Singer, Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, basically all directors and writers who’ve been accused or otherwise proven to be sexual criminals. As much as I despise their actions as people, I find it difficult to part with their works as artists; so my question is: is owning their films more supportive of the bad person or the great artist?
