Some people think that Doctor Mordrid was never meant to be a legitimate Dr. Strange movie, but was intended as a rip off from the start. What are your thoughts on this?

Does "El Topo" count as junkfood cinemar? Since watching it, I've taken to using its title as a catch-all term for any movie that has blatantly meta or figurative imagery/language, including movies I saw previously. For instance, Eraserhead (ten years ago for me) would be El Topo; A Field in England (watched last month) was El Topo. Is there another film you guys use its title as a genre/trope catchall? Is there a better term than El Topo for what I'm describing? Is there a better film than El Topo??!! PS: have not gotten the nerve to watch Holy Mountain yet. I hear its even more El Topo than El Topo!
