I will change a few things about the order in my development. There is no exact tutorial around the internet that has a focus on what I want to do. I have to say, the project I aim for is quite cheeky. I mean I could just stick to the simple stuff, but no.... not me... Doing sprite animation would be much easier to program then what I do for example. Takes forever to draw though and doesn't look as smooth.
Anyway, I try to combine everything I know to make the game as good as I can.
I started with the player movement; I just need to combine the animations with it. And this is what I change as well: Not just doing all animations first. Because right when I was done with the walking one, I need to re-do again. But I start with idle ones now, since they are much easier to re-do if neccessary. I really need to think ahead quite far.
"Small" enemys may come earlier than expected. What do I mean with small? I tell you on a different post. I will start with a slime creature, simply cause it's animations will be very simple. And if I do a mistake I can easily re-do the animation, like before. It's my guinea pig.
Okay, what is my target process right now?I wanna be able to control Sonja in all 4 directions, with idle animations and if possible walking animations as well. Then I fix some bugs for zDh. And after that I go for one of the following things for PSS: camera movement, backgrounds and tilesets or enemys. It strongly depends on what I assume is right to do first. Maybe I need to change the order again. But in any way I let you know my current progress.
Sorry if this post may seem a bit chaotic. It's just that a lot of thoughts have been put into even the early development of this game, so it will flow well with time.
I'll show myself again tomorrow!Cheersrandom Crow
