It was so heartbreaking to go back and read those early chapters again after the reveal of just how close, how in love, Gyrus and Kodya were before.

I wasn't expecting this, but it is very much welcomed. Really cool aesthetic.

Holy SHIT. I was so not prepared for a lore drop of this caliber when I checked my email today. ;A; Cannot describe to you the glee of getting to learn more about the variety within voyages and the realms themselves; those aspects have been a fixation of mine since I first read the series. I’ve actually long wondered about “hunting” for food in the realms, I love that you touched on that!! (I considered perhaps it was like grinding for item drops, ie. hoping that something edible would drop a monster’s inventory when it died. But “harvesting” meat as with the tentacle monster seems much less painful for someone with a low Luck stat, bahaha.) I’m…going to be turning that bit about radio communication over in my head for a while. Won’t be the first time I’ve lost sleep chewing on the illusion of linear time and the idea of simultaneous-concurrent time loops in the Room of Swords (happy to find my understanding there was fairly accurate!!), but this has definitely sent me back down that mental rabbit hole. Hehe. This series gives me the best kind of headaches. (PS I really enjoyed reading this, even aside from the lore aspect. I don’t think I’ve read any primarily text-based works from you before and it’s nice. :) The first-person perspective draws the reader back into the world in such a tangible way, and really it’s fascinating having Kodya as a narrator. Burned out, avoiding every problem that isn’t actively about to kill him, and Completely Done With Everything…he’s fun. Also I STILL LOVE THE ART RAAAHHH)

Love the lore drop. It's interesting to see the differences with how I envisioned Kodya at this point. And I really like the info about how time in the realms syncs up with the RoS. Sad to hear about Scout though, poor I'll little guy 😿 must've hurt Gyrus to have to do that. I know I've spent an unreasonable amount of money on parts (well mostly Arduino boards) because it hurts too much to destroy something I made. And mine aren't even useful and don't have personality programs or talk (the irl versions creep me out).
