We started working on the cover for Love Me to Death Volume 2! Since this book has more action in it, we tried to make some more dynamic concepts while still keeping it romantic. Which one is your favorite? 👀💖

#3 is hot and very cool. It's my favorite. #4 is sexy af. #6 I think is the best option. It feels like what I'd associate it with those chapters the most

Aluwa

I like #5 or #2, they're all dynamic and interesting designs tho!

I like 5 and 6 best, I think it makes them all look powerful, whilst still showing their connection to each other 😊

UGH, they're all so good! However, 1, 4, and 5 are my favorites

1, 4 or 5 are great!! Hyped for vol 2!

I ADORE version 2. It's definitely my favorite, but I also really love version 4. I think it's because they both have a good mix of action and romance to them. Either way, I'm so excited that the second volume is coming out! My first volume is getting lonely!

Macdadivali

It's so hard to choose! Although if I had to pick just one I think I'd go with 5.

omg, I LOVED 4 AND 5!!!! In both of them, they look insanely fearless lovers 😭💖💖💖

I really like 2 and 5! They’re all lovely, but those two stand out to me as the ones where the characters look the most unified. They’re a good mix of dynamism and the relationship angle.

Maybe a bit late but 2 & 3 <33333 (with special mention for 6 <3) I would love for 3 with victor in the middle for book 2 and then enrique for book 3? XDDD that's my wish

It's a cross between 2, 5, and 4 for me. Like with the first book cover thumbnails for me, there is a little bit of something to love about these three thumbnails. But I want to give my thoughts on all the thumbnails if you don't mind another long post. Thumbnail 1 definitely has its charm. It has the romantic feel with a little dramatic flare from Enrique's sword but it doesn't have as much as the same pop as the other 5. It isn't as detailed as the others, so it doesn't feel like it shows as much of the dramatic shift in the story that the other 5 give. I think it has potential for something else though. Such as a story break art page put in the middle of the book after a dramatic part or a revelation. Or an additional art page you sometimes see at the end or beginning of the book before the actual story begins. You see these kind of pages a lot in Manga, I think as a sort of bonus art. If you were to do that, this would be a good one to use. But a better one might be to do an art piece for the other major key players or "villains" of this act. I absolutely fell in love with the concept you did to showcase everyone's "weapons". Such a lovely detail to foreshadow everyone's specialty and role in this act. It's what makes 2 and 5 so awesome in my mind. I love the background of the ship in thumbnails 3 through 6 because it gives a little sneak peek to the major environment setting of the book (which will be an awesome detail to keep in mind for the workshop of the 3rd book's cover thumbnails). So, it's a little sad not to see it in thumbnail 2. If we are talking of a perfect mix between dramatic action flare and romantic throuple feels, than 2 for sure. It also gives Enrique that protector quality that 3, 5 and 6 give. I just miss that ship background so much. If you don't go with this as a cover, it also has similar, if not better, potential as thumbnail 1 for a mid-story break art piece or a before story art teaser. I like how 3 and 6 give Enrique more protector quality than the others. But I miss Mercedes' book in 3. As for 6, while everyone had screentime in this act, Enrique didn't have enough to be made the center for this one like Mercedes was for the first book. I think he might be better suited for the center in the next act since he get up to a lot of shenanigans later. In terms of character placement, 3 through 5 are great because I feel like the ship arc as a whole focused a little more on Victor than the other two. 3 has that nice forshadow of the standoff Enrique does. But like I said before, I miss Mercedes' book. She feels more left out and on the sidelines in 3, almost like an afterthought. I like the dramatic flare Victor has in 4 more, but the lack of Enrique's sword takes away from the protector role he adopts in this act. I think the pose Mercedes has in 5 with the open book looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing than in 4. So does Enrique's pose, though it feels somewhat more distant than in 4. Though Victor's pose in thumbnail 5 feels a little awkward and unnatural, I do like how it almost mirrors Mercedes' pose in the cover for Book 1. Americans and Hispanics alike will weep the loss of his bare chest though. Of them all, 4 and 5 are neck and neck. In the end, it comes down to character poses and whether or not all the characters have their respective items. Thumbnail 4's Enrique and Mercedes misses the feeling that Thumbnail 5's Enrique and Mercedes gives. And Thumbnail 5's Victor misses the feel that Thumbnail 4's Victor gives. However, if there is a way to somehow combine the two covers, I think you'd strike gold. That's my own opinion, though. If I have to pick just one, 5 is the best overall. 5 is the most movie poster-esqe with the perfect amount of foreshadowing.
